Well........ I have not had luck with McDonald's food around this area. I don't go to this location very often because its in the middle of Southaven and on a busy intersection of Goodman Road. The one near my house is absolutely horrible! We stopped in here for a quick bite before hitting the road to Nashville. I can honestly say this meal was not horrible. The drive through person was actually pleasant. The food was just ok. One of my biggest peeves with McDonald's these days is the under cooked fries. This one was no different. I just don't understand why they under cook them now. I use to love McDonald's fries. I'm sure some of you can remember back in the 70's and 80's how good the fries were! My cheeseburgers were smashed but fairly fresh. My family's food was average at best. They forgot to put napkins in the bags. This is a usual occurrence, so we are always prepared for this and keep some in the truck. I would say overall it was at least decent. I gave them three stars. I sat at the register for 5 minutes and no one even spoke to me. Some DA cane to type in some numbers on the register and didn't even acknowledge me or the women standing behind me. As he was walking away he turned around and said "duh insy close" and the lady behind me said "we have been standing here for 5 minutes you all looked at us and didnt tell us that" and he did not respond. Slowest McDonald's we have ever been in. The only person who is working hard is the lady cleaning the tables and mopping the floor. Only 1 register open at lunch time and she is so slow. People were leaving because they got tired of waiting. My husband ordered coffee and asked if he could have it before his meal. She ignored him. Once again this McDonald's comes up short in service. I placed my order for my breakfast sandwich--which I told the person that I had a buy one get one free coupon. Pull up to the window and she tells me that I can't get a sausage mcmuffin with egg with the coupon because it says egg mcmuffin. This coupon was from doing a survey online. There is always some type of issue at this restaurant--everything from bad/slow service to employees with attitudes and the management there isn't much better, they seem indifferent to customer service and food quality. Two stars only because the staff was polite when they fixed our order. They served my grandmother straight up RAW bacon. She was gagging. It was obviously not cooked properly and neither was my egg mcmuffin. The egg wasn't cooked thoroughly and the biscuits were burnt BLACK. I have never experienced this kind of mess up from any restaurant ever. To top it all off, the drive-thru lady was extremely rude and sassy. She messed up on our order more than five times and still didn't end up getting it right. She also didn't take the time to explain what coffees they did and didn't serve, and if we wanted sugar or creamer with any of it. Leaving it so bitter I couldn't tell what I got. She asked if we wanted to add more to our order, we said yes, but she hit accept and told us to move to the front and hung up on us leaving us to wait there for minutes until she noticed us trying to get her attention to add to our order. The worst experience at the drive thru!! We are visiting here for a baseball tournament and wanted to stop for a good hot cup of coffee to take back to our hotel room. We visited around 8:30 p.m.. After a horrible experience at the drive through, we wish we had never stopped. It started out with a very slow acknowledgement and no one at the window when we drove around. However, we could hear a lot of laughing and fooling around coming from somewhere inside. A gentleman finally comes over and hands us our coffees. One of them was completely COLD... no warmth at all and the second cup was barely warm. We came to our hotel and poured both cups down the drain only to find the warm cup full of coffee grounds. You know, I guess I can't expect the best customer service from McDonald's. However, I really feel that McDonald's should look into having a more broad range of service times for breakfast and dinner. They've already added breakfast after midnight, so they're getting close. But not close enough. I understand asking for breakfast when it's well after 10:30, But when I stand in line before 10:30 and they only have one person at the register this close to transition between breakfast and lunch you would assume that they would make a better attempt to get everyone through the line that may be there for breakfast. But no, instead the person at the register was unable to manage time, and took too long with her current customer, until it was past 10:30. Now, instead of voicing that she will assist any other customers there for breakfast, she just looks up from the register and yelled to the rest of the line "breakfast is over, it's now lunch." And did so with no remorse or even a thought as to who might be in line for breakfast since she decided to waste 10 minutes of my life waiting on a simple breakfast sandwich.
