It is a truth universally acknowledged that McDonald's in Europe (or heck, McDonald's in any other country) is superior to McDonald's in the USA. Take this (rather typical) location in Seville's Santa Justa train station, for example. The restaurant was clean and modern, the automated ordering stalls were efficient and user-friendly, and the food was decently interesting too! For breakfast, McDonald's offered a jamon sandwich, a slice of Jamon Iberico with tomato spread on a crusty roll. The BBQ Chicken Burger came with a breaded chicken patty with lettuce and BBQ sauce on a soft bun and was a steal at just 1,10 Euros. But my favorite dish was the goat cheese salad, which was nothing more than a simple salad of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes topped with two round slices of goat cheese, but this simple addition brightened up the whole dish with its crumbly texture and tangy flavor, which paired nicely with the squirt bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. No, McDonald's isn't the premier dining destination of Seville, but it'll do in a pinch for a quick meal! read more
