We had just arrived in Montréal and were waiting for our hotel room to be ready. To hold us over,…read morewe decided to do a little exploring and grab some lunch. I decided to walk down Rue Saine-Catherine to see if anything stood out to me. Patty Slaps caught my eye as soon as I passed it, and since burgers sounded good we decided to check it out. Patty Slaps is a fast casual spot. Walking in, we were greeted by a large, open space with communal tables the main production area towards the back. Ordering is done on kiosks up front - the menu is somewhat limited, but they have several types of burgers which are able to be customized to your liking. I didn't want to get too big of a burger, so I went with the Patty Jr. and customized some of the sauces. The burger itself was good, albeit I'm glad I got the junior size as it was a little too greasy for my liking - it had that glazed doughnut look. We also got some poutine to share which was good but not the best I've had in the city. Service was fast, and overall I enjoyed my meal at Patty Slaps. It's good for what it is, and I wouldn't be mad if circumstances found me here in the future.

Food was delicious and got it really quickly and they definitely know what efficiency mean . Good and choice of Music and really skater looking vibe and I'm all for it . Let now talk about the fries not only really well seasoned but really thin and crispy which give them a huge demarcation with all others burgers joints definitely great place and very affordable

A real local hangout - the place was packed full on a Thursday evening. We came here all the way…read morefrom Montreal based on David W's review (#yolo). Seriously, Yelp needs to up its game in Québec, because places like this one aren't getting the attention they deserve. The pulled pork sandwich had a generous amount of meat. The 12-hour smoking process did indeed liberate a good amount of smoky aroma and make the pork somewhat tender. It's lighter on the sauce and heavier on the smoke than any other pulled pork I tried which gave a more authentic impression. Amazing coleslaw - wished I had more. Fries are the soft kind, very lightly salted. The "spicy" mayo (some kind of very salty habanero with hot sauce) was not that good. Being a smokehouse it's obviously not cheap. The pulled pork sandwich with fries was a good value at $20 + tip. A pint of Fin du Monde $10 + tip. Steaks are in the $30+ range but seeing the impressive meat ageing cabinet by the entrance, I might go back to try one. If you're passing by Chambly and are in the mood for smoky meat, this is the place to be. For parking, there's a lot on rue Ostiguy across from Bedondaine & Bedons Ronds (also a place to check out).
