We went around 4.30PM which is kind of an in-between period and found the place quiet and peaceful…read more We ordered peanut butter milkshake for me and oreo milk shake for my wife. I had the moroccan lamb burger and my wife went for the falafel. We also got a portion of peri peri chips and cajun onion rings. The staff attending us were very polite and friendly. They were relaxed and took the time to answer our questions and presented us with alternative options, which was a nice thing. The milkshakes were rich and very tasteful. The lamb burger was done very well and the accompanimients that went into the bun complemented the patty very well. It was an optimum blend of the correct ingredients coming together that leaves you with a good taste and a satisfied tummy. The peri peri chips were massive and we could not finish the bowl. The onion rings were a bit too greasy and soggy. So we won't be ordering them next time. Overall, based on this experience, I would go back. I sincerely hope they continue to maintain these levels of taste, quality and service in a highly competitive and cut-throat market, where innovation and excellence are key to success.

I can't lie, handmade burger co has served me one of the best chicken and bacon burgers I think…read moreI've ever tasted. Genuinely! It was piping hot, the chicken succulent and juicy and a decent size with the bacon not fatty at all! I asked for some fried onions to go in the burger as in extra and boy was that a good choice! It made the burger even juicier! There was cheese and BBQ sauce and hot sauce going on - just OMG! It's a shame it's in Newcastle - I need to fine one in London! My only chagrin was the hipster fries - I don't know how coleslaw dumped on top of a portion of fries constitutes it being hipster but hey ho! They were nice, I was just soooooo full from the burger and the peanut butter shake! Will definitely be trying to see if this place exists somewhere in London!

The Bun and Bones Club has cherry Coke in a can, which alone is a very good sign…read more The menu is pretty full on, with even the most basic burger coming with two patties and five toppings (you choose from a wide selection, similar to Five Guys). It's also very good value, with that burger priced at £5 and chilli cheese fries and trailer trash fries, meals in themselves, at £4. They also do wings which I shall go back to try. The trailer trash fries involve pulled pork and are really delicious - that's about as good as pulled pork as I've had in Manchester, I think better than Red's or Cocka Doodle Moo down the road in Hazel Grove. My burger involved some good quality bacon, a fried patty of mac and cheese. I would have liked some ketchup but couldn't see it around and feared insulting the staff by adding to their masterpiece! The burger meat isn't quite as good as Filthy Cow, but good nonetheless. Some of the other creations get pretty wild Almost Famous-style, including a donut burger (or is that Solita?). I really liked the set up of the restaurant which had red booths, country music playing and drinks served in plastic red cups. As is obvious from the review it takes a lot of the best of the other burger restaurants in Greater Manchester and puts them together in a winning combo. I am close enough to walk to this place, which is both good and bad for my health (especially as they do takeaway). No doubt I will be back.

If you check their social media they post a special on Facebook every Friday/Saturday and they're typically on par if not better than the usual line up on the menu. Not tried their fries in a while but the chicken wings are pretty good but definitely 2nd place to the Burger.

Last time I visited it took longer than that so the staff happily gave us free lunch vouchers for next time. I recently went to use those and the staff was very nice and friendly when we brought them up to the counter. We got the breaded chicken burger as that is halal. Sides included skinny chips, thick chips, simple salad, and coleslaw. Definitely would come back!

Ten minutes later, comes the beer. That needs a fixin. Now, a burger is a kind of sandwich. A sandwich is something you can pick up with one hand and eat while reading a map. I got a cramp in my face trying to get my mouth around this thing. I had to eat this thing with a knife and fork. The bun was superfluous. It was tasty otherwise, though the 'onion rings' in the burger came apart long before they were cooked, leaving streaks of batter within the burger. They're perhaps best left as a side. The chips/fries here are a fail. The nothingness of the skinny fries or the pale not quite crispness of the chunky fries don't leave much of a dilemma. I avoid. As is par for the course in a restaurant that narrowly misses the mark, the service is mostly excellent; the staff is warm and friendly. That is worth the visit. Otherwise, some quality-control is needed.
