I sat at the bar and ordered their special pizza burger, a tasty Italian spin on a hamburger with Italian seasoning, pizza sauce, and melted mozzarella cheese. The burger took a little while to arrive, but it came out nice and hot. In the meantime, they brought out a basket of fries, and with a cold beer to wash it down, I couldn't complain. In the heat. Our server was genuinely good when he materialized, which wasn't as often as we'd have liked. Food: the cheese curds earned their reputation. The Mekts burger was fine -- solid, no complaints. The Reuben rolls, however, arrived looking exactly like what they were: a Sysco product plated with minimal ceremony. Hard pass next time. I wanted so badly to like this. I just had back surgery and can't go anywhere. I was hoping they could get a sandwich right. It was horrible. I immediately gagged.
