We were seated right away (a fairly large party) and ordered Muhammara and bread to start and a sangria pitcher. The sangria glasses came with a cinnamon stick and fruit inside them- which added a nice touch and made this one of our favorite sangria experiences of the trip. The muhammara and bread were the perfect start. The bread seemed fresh and the muhammara was rich and deep in flavor. We ended up ordering the reinvention of hummus and reinvention of falafel for the table and they were devoured by all. Definitely recommend! Two other dishes I'd recommend trying are the eggplant with honey and sesame seeds dish as well as the gazpacho with mango. Both these dishes sounded unusual to our American tastebuds, but we were thrilled we ordered them because they hit that ideal balance between sweet and savory. Other than a tasty ham & egg soup, everything that followed for the whole table was practically inedible. I ordered a breaded veal cutlet; what arrived was a thick veal(?) cutlet (?) with an enormous bone, surrounded by fat and gristle. My companion ordered a pork loin that was overcooked to the point of desiccation. A half portion of fried eggplant was gigantic but also dry as a stack of dried out pancakes. Worse still was one of the water glasses had a bleachy stench. What a miserable experience.
