5 Totally earned stars for food that had us returning the next day for more!…read more
We stumbled upon Casa Mazal while walking around the small streets in town and the decor and delicious smells pulled us in. We were seated right away (a fairly large party) and ordered Muhammara and bread to start and a sangria pitcher. The sangria glasses came with a cinnamon stick and fruit inside them- which added a nice touch and made this one of our favorite sangria experiences of the trip.
The muhammara and bread were the perfect start. The bread seemed fresh and the muhammara was rich and deep in flavor.
We ended up ordering the reinvention of hummus and reinvention of falafel for the table and they were devoured by all. Definitely recommend!
Two other dishes I'd recommend trying are the eggplant with honey and sesame seeds dish as well as the gazpacho with mango. Both these dishes sounded unusual to our American tastebuds, but we were thrilled we ordered them because they hit that ideal balance between sweet and savory.
Once again, I cannot recommend this place enough. Everything from service, to ambiance, to dishes were superb!
