I wasn't actually looking for a McDonald's when I stumbled upon this Mickey D's. I was looking for a toilet, which in Paris, isn't always easy to find. In the Marais/Bastille area, I was unfamiliar yet my bladder said too bad, find a clean bathroom, which is where this place comes in. That's what this Mickey D's had and so much more. After locating and using their toilet, I figured I'd see what they have to offer these days versus the stuff we're offered in the States. Once again, the Mickey D's in Paris put the Mickey D's to total shame in the States. Here they had so many interesting wraps and sandwich varieties we've never seen. I had a chicken wrap with all kinds of yummy veggies and cheeses that resembled anything but the fast food giant. While I wasn't hungry for anything sweet and wanted to save my dessert indulgence for later, and at a better known venue for dessert, I couldn't help but notice the display bakery case of macaroons, cookies, tarts, muffins - sugar and sweet galore, and it all looked so chic and French. How sad that we don't do the same, not even anything similarly in the USA. read more
