I love a good burger shop. And Lashings is a GREAT burger shop…read more My favorites are the Big Cheese and the Club Veg (vegetarian burger with pesto, semi-dried tomato, capsicum, rocket, mayo). The ingredients at Lashings always taste fresh, and burgers are made-to-order. The burgers at Lashings are fairly reasonably priced considering the high quality of their food and lack of competition in the area. A burger will cost you anywhere from $7.40 (for a classic Harvey burger) to $9.90 (for the Double Decker). Add $3.80 onto the price and you've got yourself a meal. Sure, it's a little more expensive than McDonalds, but the quality and serving sizes are far superior to that of any fast-food joint. Service at Lashings is always prompt, but frantic. By Saturday afternoon, the place is packed with dozens of sore heads trying to recover from the night before. Despite this, service is still pretty fast. Not McDonald's fast, but made-to-order fast. The crew at Lashings might not be overly friendly, but they certainly are efficient.

And crinkle cut chips were under cooked This is my honest opinion not going back there Would rather have had McDonald's

Yellow cheese? Check. Soft fluffy bun? Check. Fat juicy patty? Check check check…read more The Neil Perry led Burger Project serves good old American style burgers with quality Aussie ingredients. The cheeseburger is a classic, with 2 slices of cheese, onions, pickles and the fatty patty with special sauce. The chilli cheese is the same with added chopped jalapeño relish. Pretty much Neil Perry-ed maccas. Chips are deliciously done, with a choice of normal salt, chilli salt or (curiously) szechuan pepper salt. Self serve tomato sauce, definite plus. Slightly pricey, but it's a solid burger. If it were cheaper, it wouldn't be scaled right compared to our overpriced maccas. The drinks aren't worth it imo, house made ginger beer was weak and came in a small cup - hard to justify its 4.50 pricetag.
