Newly opened at the time of writing this review, the phone lines haven't been connected yet but…read morebusiness seemed to be really good for them judging from the lunchtime crowd on a wet afternoon. Possibly the only Fish and Chipery for miles around, it's got a nice fifties vibe with assorted retro metal tube vinyl chairs with aluminium edged formica tables and a wicked refurbished b&w telly tucked up in a corner. It's also nice and bright with huge plate glass as its on the corner of the building. It's not completely derro as this place was clearly designed to be retro contemporary with some raw timber and the positioning of retro collectibles. I had grilled cod with chips and a dimmy. The cod was very flavourful and the chips done right well with generous seasoning of sea salt flakes. Dimmies are hard to fail especially on a wintry afternoon. Nice touches abound elevate what could have been a typical fc shop. Down to the packaging which is completely recyclable and the wooden disposable cutlery and the staff uniforms of denim jumpsuits and a paperboy cap (I think that's what it's called) hark back to the early fifties in the ol' Blighty. Make sure you get the malt vinegar dip for your chips. The menu is pretty vast and they've got burgers as well.

Wether thats true or not, I have no idea. The staff are always friendly and they've never been wrong on waiting time and if the owner is in, which is regularly, he lets you sample food hes thinking of adding to the menu. Little gestures like that keep me coming back. If theres anything negative to say its that there's probably too much food in the packs they sell. Im not sure if I've ever finished a meal from there before. As well as fish n chips they also specialize in some delicious burgers. I've tried all of them and i still cant pick a favorite. If they had an eat in option im sure the family and I would go for a sit down dinner occasionally. The food is certainly of high enough quality to warrant it.

I only just discovered this hidden gem tonight. Not your average fish and chip shop in the suburbs,…read morethis place has that inner city vibe with a generous indoor and outdoor seating area and some funky graffiti art to enjoy while you wait for your order or observe while you eat. Burgers are their thing with a wide selection of beef burgers as well as a small selection of chicken and veggie burgers, this place has a little something for everyone. If you're feeling a bit peckish and up for a food challenge, the Chip Inn has their very own mountain burger to conquer. Loaded with beef patties, cheese and chips to name a few ingredients, finish the mountain within an hour at the shop and you can get your photo on their wall of fame! This is a great take on a classic fish and chip shop and something special for the outer suburbs, so if you are a local of just in the area, pop in for a bite.

We have had to put in a dispute with the bank for the money stolen which will take several months. Beware....

Not once have they left me disappointed or fretting over something that could have been better. So, let's get to it. Their menu has so much going on. There's chicken, lamb, fish, beef, plenty of vegetarian burger options and even salads, if you don't want to go the meat route. Each of their burgers has so much variety, you could take some time just reading what's in each one before picking. For me, the Greek burger stood out at once. Like I said, they have so much going on, packed with flavor from the different ingredients and toppings. The burgers are always juicy. The bun doesn't fall apart on you. But it is the type of burger that requires two hands. You need to pick it up and then don't stop eating until you finish it. Or else, it can and will be messy. You've been warned. The Greek burger was composed of lamb, olive tapenade, eggplant, feta, and everything together made this burger so tasty and delectable. It was perfect until the very last bite. The herbed chips are also worth noting, because they are so good. Now, I can't see the reasoning behind why the other reviews on this establishment are so here and there and all over, all I know is that The Burger Lounge has always kept me happy.

I will start by saying, and I guess this will form the majority of my review, but this place was really hard to judge. For those who have been to Burger Lounge in Eltham, it had a similar feel right from checking it out on the website, and all the way to ordering my burger. And, yes, they are in a similar area, (and I know this doesn't apply to everyone) but I really enjoyed driving AWAY from the city to find a good burger in a much quieter part of town - it really gives an adventure type of feel. It was reasonable cost wise, and my request to double up on the beef (as I was slightly surprised there wasn't a double patty burger) for $2 made me happy. The $2 side of chips would've been worth $8 too at Grill'd, which was another tick. The burger itself whilst still being enjoyable was missing something small - maybe a special sauce or something of the like! Turkish buns were used too, and I haven't had too many amazing burgers with them unfortunately. So ideally I'd love to give it 3.5 stars, as the experience itself is rather enjoyable (I can't stress this enough), however the burger itself was good without being amazing.

Just FYI, there isn't a ton of room for larger groups so if that's something you're planning on bringing, maybe consider another place. Or stop by Thirtyfold anyways, the people here are nice enough to figure out seating for you. We didn't order any food, as we were just looking for something caffeinated and sweet to tide us over until later. We settled on an assortment of small sweet bars as well as some lattes (Prana Chai and Magic) and everything turned out great. Well, maybe except for the Prana Chai which was kinda bland, surprisingly. The drink seemed to be made up almost entirely of milk with none of the spices and flavors that you'd expect from a Chai latte. At least my Magic Latte was great; the milk was so dang creamy - straight up wizardry. Other than that, the sweets were delectable and big enough to share but not so big that you're looking for to-go boxes. All the Thirtyfold employees were super friendly too, all eager to answer questions from a bumbling tourist like me. Overall, Thirtyfold is an easy recommendation for a relaxed coffee date, a quick sugar fix, or a weekend brunch.
