Ordered a drink, water bottle and medium fries. Was told they did not have water bottles and was given a water cup. I was asked if I would be refunded and she said no (lady had an attitude since we walked in). I received my fries and they were room temp and soggy, while the rest of my party was told by a nicer coworker they would be given fresh fries. They had a whole 1 car in the drive thru and one gentleman inside who ordered, so I'm not sure why she acted like they were so busy. This is literally the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Dirty beyond belief, flies everywhere and every single hand sanitizer was empty around the place. Two people working and they were totally overwhelmed. When we came in we were the only new inside with two cars in the drive thru. It took almost 20 minutes to get our order and in that time just about everyone in n the drive thru had to come inside to fix an error. No ice in the self serve beverage machine as well. I've come here 2 years in a row after going to the elkhart fair. The first time wasnt bad as far as mcdonalds goes except one thing stood out. The fries were raw. Just cut and salted potatoes. We left semi-satisfied but yearning for a better fry. No biggie, right? Wrong. I came back today, exactly one year later, and gave it a second shot. The first thing i noticed was there were probably 4 or 5 tables of people sitting and waiting for their food, so much for fast food. The second thing was that the empty tables were all dirty, sticky, and no one seemed to be out cleaning. I ordered on the kiosk, sat down at a dirty table, and waited. Surprisingly, it wasnt too long of a wait considering the people around us but i would have waited a lifetime if it meant not eating THAT. The first impression wasnt terrible, our order was correct. But a deeper dive discovered a total of 3 hairs throughout our food and who knows how many went unnoticed. Some were curly, some were straight, and some looked like they came from the likes of a place not located on the head. Nonetheless, i carried on. The fries were not raw this time but not cooked greatly either. Nothing really wrong with the drinks except the filth that covered the joint from ceiling to floor. And i know this is to be expected atp but obviously the ice cream was broken so no mcflurry... Im normally not very nitpicky when it comes to this but my moms boyfriend had other things to say, including, "I've had better mcdonalds from a kfc" and described the food as "drier than gretchen on a tuesday." Horrible service. I placed an order thru the app and it was partly incorrect. I ordered a hot latte and they brought me an iced coffee. I stated that I did not order an iced coffee, showed my email receipt as well as my order on the app and neither said iced coffee. The girl claimed they were cleaning the coffee machine and could not make any kind of hot coffee drink. I said it has been paid for and I do not want a cold drink. She said she didn't know but she thought I had to go thru the app to report or ask for a refund and just walked away. Then suddenly the app was having issues and it could not be reported. Absolute worst experience coming into a McDonald's. Drive thru was packed and the lobby was open for take-out. Unfortunately the employees that were working completely ignored us. I had to ask to be waited upon. Ordered 2 drinks and when they were presented there was no communication from the staff, she just placed them on the counter and walked away. So things have improved at this location under new ownership however one frustration that continues is how they handle their 2 drive through lanes. Often times 1 or the other lanes will get ignored entirely while they do 3-4 cars from the other lane. I've had this happen numerous times. It's to the point that I try to actively assess each time I go which lane seems to be getting actively serviced. I would think the concept of doing 1 car from each lane back and forth would be relatively elementary level problem solving but McDonald's has long held the gold standard for me in lowering the bar. read more

This is the sorriest location I have ever been to. Waited in the drive thru for a coke, I know, however I have a 8 month old and it's cold and don't want to drag her out of the car. Get around the corner and no coke just carbonated water. So circle around back thru. Now I e been sitting here waiting for them to bring me my coke. It's been 10 min. I've walked out of here or left the drive thru from this location for slow and sub par service. I know it's only a $1 coke, but dang it a McDonalds coke is the best.... if you can get one. This place is dirty that I'm going to call health department on them. Went to men's restroom and the toilet seat was disgusting. Underneath not cleaned in days, judging by the stains. Urinal filthy as well. Mirror covered in water spots. Sink filthy. They have two posters on the back door, probably for cleaning schedule, but nowhere to be found. The same goes for restaurant dining area. So much dust and crumbs between seats cushions and back. I'm scared how clean was my food? Do employees actually care there? I know that this is a McDonald's and you are thinking, seriously, four stars? But here's the thing. It is in Amish Country in northern Indiana and the drive through lane states "No buggies in drive through" but there is a hitching post for the buggies instead. Do you love that as much as I do? We came here while staying overnight close by. I read The reviews but I always just take it with a grain of salt and proceed from there. Since most of the reviews are based on the service and dive thru I decided it's prob like any other McDonald's or for that matter restaurant. We did do the drive they and one lane was closed, leaving just one open lane. No worries, we did get our order in and pay quickly which is good. After paying I noticed the cars in front of me pulling into a parking spot to wait. Ok this happens at any other McDonald's I've been to. Staff was super friendly. You could tell he was working both windows and still had a chipper attitude. We did have to pull into a parking spot and waited about 15'. That's ok it just means my food will be fresh. Once delivered the employee didn't hesitate to come back to our car because we were missing two items and needed mass condiment packages, which they gave me without grief. Other ones charge me or roll their eyes or huff away and throw them at me practically. The food WAS fresh and besides having to bring me two things that were missing tasted great. I'd go back again if we were in town. IMHO it wasn't any worse than the McDonald's we have where I live. read more
