I saw an ad this week on TV that for the 50th anniversary McDonalds had a $1.00 Egg McMuffin today only. So we set the alarm to get there early in case they ran out, got dressed, fed the dog and drove 8 miles to the McDonalds on 441 in Leesburg, Florida. An employee asked us what we wanted and I said, we came in for the $1.00 Egg McMuffin. She said, "YOU CAN ONLY ORDER THAT ON THE MOBILE APP." My wife asked, "mobile app?" I showed her my phone. Its a FLIP PHONE! We are seniors citizens. I don't even know what a mobile app is. My wife asked, "So we can't order here?" The employee said, "NO. You can only order with the mobile app." I had enough. I said to my wife, let's go. My wife was very upset. I told her let's go. She was getting loud as she was shocked. She told the employee how upset she was that we were standing at the counter and couldn't order food. Then we left. Think about this: Here we are in the McDonalds standing at the counter to buy breakfast and coffee for two people and they refused to take our order! This is insane! We actually were invited to breakfast at a restaurant with some people in our community and turned them down to go to McDonalds. After this morning, we will NEVER go to a McDonalds. Never ever! Just moved to the area and this is hands down the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Whether it's having to repeat my order 5-6 times so the girl that's probably high can finally read my order back to me, taking 15 minutes to get thru the drive thru, or after all that the order is just plain wrong. Manager taking orders would not give us a receipt after multiple requests; instead, he asked people behind us for their orders. Lobby a mess: dead bugs (mosquitoes and other types) littered tables, chairs, counters, and window sills. Literally, had to eat in car because there was not even one table without bugs! (See pics; the black dots which are all dead bugs). Dried soda and ketchup all over counter. Lobby in previous visits needed upkeep but was never this bad. If you are headed to Mount Dora, stop there instead. read more

I didn't have a complicated order- two happy meals and a #9. After I placed the order & entered it, they accidentally deleted it. No problem, that happens. Each time I place the order, I ask for "white" milk, which they don't want to acknowledge, instead calling it regular. When I pull up to the window, they try to hand me three chocolate milks. When I say we ordered white milk, they give me a flustered look and ask me to pull forward. I'm already 10 minutes into this experience. Seven minutes later, they bring out the food, but not the white milks. Three minutes later, they return with the white milk- 20 minutes for a simple "fast" food order. $15 minimum wage and the automated ordering process it will bring with it can't get here fast enough when dealing with this type of incompetence. We only stopped there, because it was Sunday and the best fast food restaurant in the industry isn't open on Sundays. Hamburger buns were stale and the fries were old and flavorless. Pandemic or not, that's no way to run a business. read more

Alright so this isn't the first time they messed up my order, the past 4 or 5 times that I ordered it has been wrong. I ask for the 2 cheeseburger meal with nothing on it but cheese and ketchup. 2 times they have it to me with everything on it but what I asked for and 1 other time they gave it to me with everything but what I asked for, they even added Big Mac sauce to my regular cheeseburger. i ordered again today and my burgers were fine but i also ordered nuggets and instead of it being nuggets I got a cooked piece of cheese. Every time we go here someone is an asshole. If you ever go and see a manager named Marissa just walk out and go elsewhere she's an awful person. When she gets a complaint she talks back and is very nasty as well as makes rude comments such as "thank god your leaving" as well as a lot of there employees have bad hygiene (not washing hands after using the restroom) would highly suggest going to the one in Mount Dora instead it's much cleaner and the employees aren't rude. read more

Went to the grocery store this afternoon and decided afterwards to grab some lunch from McDonald's drive through. One car ahead of me at the "pay" window. As I sat waiting in line an employee leaned out of the window to SHAKE HANDS with his buddy in the car ahead of me and spent a few minutes talking to the people in the car. This was not the same employee who took my money at the window, it was another employee socializing and shaking hands with friends! Seriously??? Now he's contaminating everything in the place. Consistently poor service at the morning drivethru, with lines often severely backed up because of inability to keep the line moving at any semblance of a reasonable rate. Errors galore - finally gave up this morning when "sausage mcmuffin with no cheese" was too confusing for the drivethru runner to comprehend, and upon them checking with the manager, was told what we wanted was a mcmuffin with Canadian bacon (!). I recently went thru the drive through at this McDonald's & ordered a hambuger with just onions Ketchup. When we received this order it also had cheese on it! Grrr' Si I went inside to purchase a second hamburger with just onions & ketchup & the employee at the register told me he could not give me a second hamburger unless I gave him the first one I order! I told him I was up set that they got my first order wrong & was purchasing a second hamburger the way I wish ti have it made. I just went through the drive thru here about half an hour ago and from the start it was a terrible experience. I asked for a McDouble, onions only, and a large fry. The employee on the drive thru replied with a rude tone "McDouble PLANE and a large fry." From the way he emphasized "plane" I could tell that he didn't mishear me but that maybe my onions only burger would inconvenience him in a way that maybe a plane burger would not. I work in the food industry so I understand and since I'm not usually one to complain or even speak out I said, sure that's fine. After about a 6 minute wait my food was given to me by a very friendly manager and I drove home. I attempted to eat my fries on the way home but found that they were inedible. They were hot, but at least half an hour old. Several of them were black and the ones that weren't were still hard as a rock. I then noticed that the lady who had given me my bag was kind enough to throw in some salt packets because she knew that the fries had been dropped back in the fryer to be heated up and weren't even salted when they came back out. Oh and when I got home I found my burger was neither plain nor onions only and was ice cold. I checked the receipt and he rang it up as a regular burger. I'm sure they would've gave me new food if I went back but Leesburg is way too far to drive to have to deal with a terrible attitude and a terrible burger which, I'd be lucky to not have spit in. For your own sake and costs of fuel....you should really consider a different location or restaurant. I Drive my 2 year old neice thru the Drive thru a couple of days ago. Simple order consisted of a medium fry (cold), a 6 piece nugget (also cold) and a Big Mac without onion...seems like a simple enough order I would think. I realize now I should have gone right back thru the Drive thru but in the process a stinking diaper was a little more important...please keep in mind I only knew about the fries at this time. We only live a couple of streets over..get home change the diaper....then realize the nuggets are like ice.....ok nuke them ( try taking nuggets from a 2 year old)... I open my Big Mac that is supposed to be no onion and there was extra onion. So I pick up the bun in to inspect the rest of the sandwich and not only is the Bread rock hard but there is only one half of one of the patties and onions covered it...I call and speak to a very nice girl that asked if I would like to come back in to replace my order....I explained that I was taking care of a 2year old and no I could not come back as it is bed and bath time......no problem just bring your receipt in tomorrow and we will refund your money or replace the order..I was never asked to bring in the food....So I take the receipt in explain the problem and was denied a refund because i did not know the girls name and I did not return the food....I was never asked to bring in the food though it was still on my kitchen counter .....but the looks on this managers face and her body language said it all....her name was Lisa...I left the Store none to happy went home got the food returned to the Store....explained to her it is much easier to be nice and do the right thing.....offered her one more chance....then I threw the bag on the counter.....and reminded her social media works for the good AND bad publicity..Her attitude changed and she responded 'I wish you wouldn't do that'..at which point.....so help me..I announced to her and her now Busy dining room.....that I even tried to feed the sandwich to my dog and she tried to bury it....my call to corporate went unanswered as they wanted to send my personal info to the Store manager to handle the problem.
