With burgers on our mind, I found Filou American Diner and we headed there. First tip, make a reservation if you want to sit inside. We went at 5:30pm on a Sunday, and were informed there would be an hour wait if we wanted to sit inside; we opted to sit outside and still had immediate service. Great selection of burgers and some interesting variations on burgers. Greek burgers, Italian burgers, spicy burgers, BBQ burgers...you name it. I haven't found any place in Germany that has really good American style hamburgers; not sure if it's the meat or that everything is well-done, but it's hard to replicate the American burger. Filou's gets close with their burgers. I had the Bison burger, which was priced right, cooked right, and just tasted great. The fries were cooked well, with just the right amount of crunch. Word of warning...the kids meals are fairly large; I've never seen so many fries in a kid's meal before. It all worked out, since I didn't order fries, and I imposed a "fry tax" on my boys. Overall, great little burger place, seemingly in the middle of the quiet town of Aidlingen. We will definitely make our way out here again.
