I live close by so I have came to Maxs a few times. The burgers and pizzas are good but the…read moreservices is almost non existing. They have plenty of staff on duty but none seem to be taking care of the customers. The service is the same with one person in the restraunt or a full restraunt. My advice is when a waiter does come to your table order everything you are wanting to get because they will not return.

I will start by saying, and I guess this will form the majority of my review, but this place was really hard to judge. For those who have been to Burger Lounge in Eltham, it had a similar feel right from checking it out on the website, and all the way to ordering my burger. And, yes, they are in a similar area, (and I know this doesn't apply to everyone) but I really enjoyed driving AWAY from the city to find a good burger in a much quieter part of town - it really gives an adventure type of feel. It was reasonable cost wise, and my request to double up on the beef (as I was slightly surprised there wasn't a double patty burger) for $2 made me happy. The $2 side of chips would've been worth $8 too at Grill'd, which was another tick. The burger itself whilst still being enjoyable was missing something small - maybe a special sauce or something of the like! Turkish buns were used too, and I haven't had too many amazing burgers with them unfortunately. So ideally I'd love to give it 3.5 stars, as the experience itself is rather enjoyable (I can't stress this enough), however the burger itself was good without being amazing.

Not once have they left me disappointed or fretting over something that could have been better. So, let's get to it. Their menu has so much going on. There's chicken, lamb, fish, beef, plenty of vegetarian burger options and even salads, if you don't want to go the meat route. Each of their burgers has so much variety, you could take some time just reading what's in each one before picking. For me, the Greek burger stood out at once. Like I said, they have so much going on, packed with flavor from the different ingredients and toppings. The burgers are always juicy. The bun doesn't fall apart on you. But it is the type of burger that requires two hands. You need to pick it up and then don't stop eating until you finish it. Or else, it can and will be messy. You've been warned. The Greek burger was composed of lamb, olive tapenade, eggplant, feta, and everything together made this burger so tasty and delectable. It was perfect until the very last bite. The herbed chips are also worth noting, because they are so good. Now, I can't see the reasoning behind why the other reviews on this establishment are so here and there and all over, all I know is that The Burger Lounge has always kept me happy.

This part of the hotel is also home to a large bar and TAB, but you can order food from the bistro to enjoy in the more casual setting. Fridays here go from relaxed to party HQ as the DJ livens things up as young and old head past security into the hot spot Terrace Bar. Saturday night is 80's music night so head here to get your retro dance moves out! To enjoy the bistro on weekends or in groups it is best to book as it gets busy. It is worth the prep time though as the food is good pub grub. The large dining room is loud and casual and you will have to head up to the counter to order your meal and the bar to grab a drink. If your toting kids then the games area at the back of the bistro should distract them while you linger over coffee or desert. The LP Hotel has a gaming area which is filled with pokies if your into that type of thing (I'm not) which also has a separate bar. My tip? Drop by the bistro on a Wednesday night for $12 Parma and Pot! If your taking your party on the road then the LP Hotel Bottle shop is located 200 metres down the road, to the right as you exit the upper car park.

I've been wanting to come here ever since I went past it years ago to seem them redeveloping it, and while it was quite hike to get to (especially if you don't have a car) I was really glad that I did. The bush setting certainly gives it a lot of character, and the beer garden, which looks out over the creek, is a great place to spend your time. It appears that it turns into a night spot after 7:00 pm because they bring out the ID checker and station a bouncer at the entrance. This is certainly a place I would like to return to some time.

I've never had Red Rooster before, but it's a good concept - a "healthy" option for instant food. Sadly, it's poorly executed. The roast chicken was pretty good, like any Supermarket chook - it was stuffed with what I assume is glutinous stuffing, so I avoided that but I know it was that sticky, grey stuffing that is mysterious delicious. The chips were inedible from the volume of salt that was on them. They were disgusting. My child was so excited to be getting chips but I'm concerned with they amount of salt. I eat way too much salt, sometimes I literally eat a pinch of salt, so for them to be too salty for me is really bad. The potato and gravy was horrible, fake and so salty. The separate gravy was incredibly salty too. The corn cobs had a bad texture, like they'd been frozen and overcooked. They kernels had exploded. Surely they handle enough corn that they don't need frozen corn?cPeas were fine. Frozen peas are the same anywhere. Overall, I'm disappointed, because I've always seen Red Rooster pitched as a healthy alternative and the quality was just quite poor. The main issue was the disgusting amount of salt that made me worried for my child to eat it. I couldn't eat it either, so a bit of a waste of $33. Won't be going back.
