Consistently messes up on orders. Of you don't check your food before you drive off I promise you will be disappointed

McDonald's - Mickey d's - Burgers Near Me - Detroit Lakes, Minnesota

If I could put zero stars I would. Completely unorganized. Ordered hamburger with only ketchup and extra ketchup, was taken down as just extra ketchup so I got all the other condiments. Tried to get a chocolate milkshake and was given the most common McDonald's response: "The ice cream machine is broken". Also some how out of one of the most popular beverages Diet Coke. I know these are minimum wage workers but I used to be one too and I still can do my job correctly. Don't go here. It's just sad. read more

Why does my burger and fries smell and taste like someone who just got done gutting a fish handled it just before I got it?

Definitely not happy with this place. We asked for 3 number 9 just the cheeseburgers. And only got three cheeseburgers. And when we went back through they told us we were in the wrong when we weren't the ones who rang up the order wrong and could not do separate transactions because dine in is not open because of all of this covid shit. We also had to pay for the other cheeseburgers that we wanted when we went back through. The managers name was Cynthia and she was not kind to us at all and told her what we were saying was confusing which it isn't. read more

Beautiful new restaurant. Food quality is ALWAYS spot on, and a nice friendly staff. Everything you expect from your local McDonalds!

McDonald's is always a pretty good experience anytime I go there, the food there is pretty good most of the time, and service is always pretty good as well. During lunch or supper time it can get pretty busy and may take a while but overall a great place. They should give me more ranch when when I ask for a few more though. read more

I've only ever had a few problems here and there with my orders coming out wrong but they've always been helpful and courteous about fixing it and making it right. The food actually tastes pretty good for fast food standards and it seems to be made fresh every time however sometimes the quality of the fries can be inconsistent. For example: sometimes it's too much salt and other times it's not enough, sometimes they taste old and soggy and yet other times they're blistering hot and fresh out of the fryer. Also, lately with the pandemic going on the drive thru has been a nightmare. The line stretches out to the street at times! I've tried to circumvent this issue by ordering through the app but when I go to park and place my order they don't have their parking spots properly numbered. This makes it harder for the customers and the employees. As a customer I don't know what number to put on the app and I'm sure the employees hate trying to figure out what food goes to what car. They need to place numbers at every parking spot so it'll make the process a bit easier for everyone. read more

Boo.. boo. Same McDonald's food.. but higher prices.. they do not honor national/regional special promotions. Our local McDonald's has pic 2 for 5 dollars. Promotional selections.. Ever since McDonald's has come out with the All day break fast I have been geeting there hot Cakes. I've orders their hot cakes at three other locations other then the Detroit lakes McDonald's. Each time they were cooked all the way and warm. To day I've received my 3rd cold order of hot cakes from Detroit lakes McDonald's. I'm am very disappointed. read more

This McDonalds has got to be the worst McDonald's in the entire country hands down. I visit family in Detroit Lakes often and have had the displeasure of finding myself at this location too many times. The entire staff is RUDE. From the extortion of forcing people to buy socks for their children to play (I understand their point from a cleanliness standpoint, but the rudeness of the ladies enforcing the rule is appalling and had my children in tears). Last time we were there, while I was ordering the staff including the manager on duty were arguing with each other the entire time so it was no surprise when my order came out missing things. When I brought it to their attention they wanted to argue until I produced the receipt. Then they gave me the rest of my order begrudgingly. The fries came out stiff like rigor-mortis. The place generally smells bad and is unclean despite their attempts with the sock rule. I have not once had a good experience at this McDonald's with either the food or the staff. It needs a completely new staff to ever stand a chance. I mean, I get it, it's McDonalds, and the only one around, but wow, McDonald's should be embarrassed to be associated with this location. read more

This is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever been too. When ever we have family outings, My wife's mother. always has to pick there. Every order we never get the full order, items would be missing, or we would be over charged for some thing we never ordered. This happens to frequently and I just do not care to go there. But i never get a say in the matter or No's on that place. I ended up going up there several times because their are items missing or orders are not on the receipt. Every time i gone there with my wife and them, I would have to run up there several times to have them fix their mistakes. Why should i have to run up there several times when it takes one time to look the order over. On one occasion I ordered a Angus deluxe, it wasn't even cooked properly. It was cooked well on the out side, but on the inside it was just nasty raw. I had even had to run up their twice on two different occasions to get my Angus meal fixed because it wasn't what i ordered or it wasn't properly made right. read more
