TL; DR: We found that McDonalds was the only place you don't go broke in St. Croix getting food (including grocery stores). That's a plus for at least a quick snack if not a meal on the go. The only place to get ice cream in St. Croix for under $5 a scoop was, yes, McDonalds (Sunday $2.39, McFlurry $3.39 ish), and a comedic episode comes free with a Bimbo! The Rest Of The Story My girls were jonesing for ice cream and after buying the less than half gal (1.5quart) of breyers for $13 only to find it had melted and refrozen (nasty), we decided to go McFlurry. It was in the evening when we drove to McDonalds, looked at the ice cream menu, and the car erupted in laughter because we spotted the "Bimbo" McFlurry . So we ordered 5 "bimbos" along with 60 McNuggets ($10 for 20) and otherwise. Then the person at the other end of the ordering system (speaker-dude) told us that the ice cream machine did not work. My girls (2 daughters and wife) were very disappointed. We canceled the entire order and went on an ice cream shop hunt. As we were during the middle of the week and just after peak season (still 83 degrees at night), and on "island time" we found that the ice-cream shops had all closed early. "All" being like 3. SO we came back to McDonalds just to get some nuggets (the prior order planted the suggestion in everyone). To have a little fun, each person in the car (5) ordered something along with a Bimbo McFlurry. Each time the speaker-dude said "sorry, ice cream machine is not working". So we adjusted the order to order nuggets and an ice cream cone. Again the speaker-dude said the ice cream machine is not working. So we would change to nuggets and ice cream Sunday and again, speaker-dude said "not working". The car was rocking with laughter. When we finally just ordered just the nuggets, and we then pulled up to the delivery window. To speaker-dude's credit, he did *not* show a single sign of frustration. A different person (a really adorable young lady) handed us our 60 McNuggets with a "thank you". We then decided to extend the fun and asked where the Bimbo McFlurry's were that we ordered . The young lady got a shocked look on her face and said "oh my gosh, he did not charge you for those did he?!" We burst out laughing and said "no, he told us over and over again the machine was not working, we are just messing with you". She laughed and said "oh but it /is/ working"... and paused and smiled a devilish smile... then asked "how many do you want?" As near as we can figure, the person at the other end of the ordering system (speaker-dude) had cleaned the machine early so he could leave early, then lied to us about it not working. The young lady, immediately recognizing what was going on and thought she would have her own bit of fun ... and have him clean it again after giving us Bimbo McFlurrys. Everyone was laughing except the "speaker-dude" who had to adjust his "Island Time Zone" and clean it again we think. It was an interactive SNL comedy show with snacks, dessert and an awesome server. SO, I have to say St. Croix was hands down the best McD experience EVER. (It would have made a great reel) To cap it off, we decided to Venmo the window lady a hansom tip, we loved her! read more

Every-time you come here for fast food. You will be in the drive thru for long hours and inside as well. Always slow service.

You know if I am reviewing a fast food joint, that something happened. I try not to listen to other reviews and make my own opinion. So, against multiple bad reviews, I ended up here. They have an abbreviated menu than the ones you may be used to in the States. They have a decent sized private parking lot and the drive thru windows seemed a bit higher that normal. They still worked though. They closed the dining room early, which I guess is a thing for them. So, i had to go through the drive through. The line was very slow. I waited over 30 minutes. In case you were wondering, I got a Big Mac Meal. They did not have any apple pies, or any straws. I also hear that being out of stuff is a thing for them too. My food was a typical Mickey Dees meal. But it was cold. The fries were very cold and it was not like I had a long ride to dig in. I had to go one block. Inside the store is relatively clean and they have hand sanitizer placed around the inside dining area. I know, its a McDonalds on an island, so I should cut them some slack. However, I hope this just gives you an idea as to what to expect if you go here and to reaffirm some of the other reviews. read more

Some of their Meals are decent but mostly they are rotten or just bad-tasting one time I was 13 years old and I choked on the syrup because it was just too sweet..! So please try to fix their sauce cause it can cause an aneurism or it can be a choking hazard..! read more

I'll try and be nice about this place , plenty of staff on premises . No Sprite , outta Coke and straws well I had to wait for my straw to be put in the bag. Even though I served myself the only thing to drink. Orange. My husband isn't suppose to drink orange but oh well. We were thirsty and rudely treated like cattle. That being said the burger was great unfortunately it came with hilarious rudeness by one 5 ft little powerhouse of a woman. Wont be returning this year. read more

Cold fries and no onions on my extravaganza double, with two small pieces of bacon !! My friend and I waited in line for almost 30mins in the drive thru. I could not believe how long it lol for us to get our meals. We eventually pull up to the window to pay and my friend notices that the food had been bagged already and that it's just been sitting there. Therefore our fries were COLD and they didn't even prepare our burgers right. My friend's bf has to give us onions from his salmon and rice plate from 2 plus 2. I was pissed. The fries are Good ,but the Burgers are HORRIBLE, every thing is so incredibly bad except the fries. Service it's also HORRIBLE the severs act like children and talk a lot behind the counter. They also never have the basic drinks that I want (coke, sprite, and the ice cream machine never works). I once asked for the manager and the kids behind the counter started to laugh when he said he was the manager implying that he was lying. This has got to be the worst one on any of the island. And the pancakes taste like the box they sit in. I would like to go work there for one day just to see what they do behind the counter were we the costumer cannot see. I would rate it a zero but that's not an option. While there are good employees at this location, there are also a handful of employees who think that being on their personal phone, having personal conversations is more important than doing a job of which they are getting paid for. The handful of employees who were on the phone, slowed everybody else down and when a manager attempted to tell one employee something, the employee reacted in a threatening manner. I wish I had my phone so I could have recorded it. I am shocked that McDonald's corporate office has not stepped in. We waited about 30 minutes for our order to be taken, another 20 minutes to get our food and the order was wrong. Not surprised. read more

Very dirty, trash on the floor, unbelievably slow service. We had trouble finding a clean table. We have been to both Mc D's on the island and we're not impressed. I know things move slower on the island, but you expect a little more from a Mc Donalds read more

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. First trip, they were out of hashbrowns, creamer, and only had small coffee cups. Second trip, no soda at all and no ice cream products. Looked like they've never used their ice cream machine. Has to be the management because the other McDonald's on the island are always fine. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been in. Most of the employees including the manager are so unbelievably rude to every customer, it's amazing they didn't start a fight. Most were completely avoiding the work - flirting with each other, ignoring and rolling their eyes at the customers. The woman pretending to work French fries asked "Can I go home?" The only one working was the young man at the drive through window - literally stepping around the other employees to get the food. Some examples... A woman waiting with her small son saw her burger was ready and asked for her fries. Employee: "they aren't ready yet." The woman then went to take the hamburger and the employee grabbed it and said it wasn't hers. Three other people who'd order after get their food and left. Finally, they got her fries from the same batch that had been sitting there when she asked 10 minutes earlier - and they gave her the burger she'd tried to take earlier. We ordered a hot fudge sunday and special caramel sunday with apple pie. After 5-7 minutes, the manager called our number. But, instead of talking to us, she began chewing out the cashier in front of us. Manager: "I said no refunds today". Cashier: "I didn't know we were out of cups". And so on. Finally, the manager turned to us: "We got no cups for the special Sunday". Wife: "That's ok, just give it to me in the smaller cup." Manager: "No, we can't."which of course is ridiculous. She never looked at us, apologized for the mistake or offers any suggestions. She refunded $1 and created a new caramel-only order. Then we waited as employees argued ("I'm not making it - you make it"...) in front the growing group of customers. 15 min later we finally got the Hot fudge sundae but no caramel. So, my wife asked "Could we have the caramel sundae now?" Manager: "No, we make the food in the order it's rung up. We don't skip other customers." Wife: "But we ordered them at the same time - it was only because you don't have the right cup that you re-rung it". The manager turned and walked away. Most of the customers were amazingly patient. But at one point this poor guy got so frustrated we were sure he was going to jump over the counter and start kicking ass. Most of us took a step back but a young mother with two kids took them by the hands and left. I don't know if they ever got their food. read more

At about 9:30 that morning I walked in to place my typical breakfast order. I stood to the side and back close to the drive thru side entrance door while waiting. I was looking down at my phone. A woman who was standing near the hash brown griddle or drive thru prominently asked me if I worked for [company]. I looked up, said yes, then looked back down at my phone; indicating that I had no intention of carrying on a discussion. She then loudly asked me while approaching me, loud enough that most people in the forward seating area and queue could hear, "why does your service suck so bad?!" Expectedly, I responded a little louder than normal, asking her how she could represent her workplace this way, and that I was a customer of her business right now. If she wants to file a complaint then she can come to [company] to do it but don't approach me like that while I'm not working. I don't remember her exact response or the exact words going forward but to summarize, we each continued to respond, escalating in volume until all patrons and employees were paying attention. Remarks were exchanged such as me saying that McDonald's also sucked and was very slow, and that at least [company] was still the best service on island. She said she knows McDonald's sucks. As you can tell I was upset. I noticed that the manager, who wears glasses, was walking away from the front. I then called out asking if she was the manager as she passed behind the drink machine. Then I called out and said manager come here! When she came back I asked her how could she allow this to happen. She responded saying "can't you see she's crazy?" I said to her, that's her job to deal with and all of this is very unprofessional. The original instigator then jumped in and said that she was just trying joke with me. I want to remind you that all of this conversation is still at high volume. I told her that it was a bad joke. She then said that she now knows not to joke with me again and I replied saying that's a good idea. At that point I walked out. I had grabbed my bag of food at some point during this interaction. Poor attitude all around. I haven't been back since. I emailed the district and market managers about my experience and none of them responded. read more
