We met there for lunch and we were greeted by two staff from behind the counter. They were very warm, smiley and welcoming. The lady handed us menus and offered us to take a seat - inside or outside. (Most of the tables were for about 2-4 people, so I wouldn't recommend large groups coming here.) We ordered at the counter and they brang our lunch to our tables once it was freshly made. I chose a smoked salmon foccacia with capers, lettuce, spanish onions and fresh dill mayo - sounds good hey!? It was! My only criticism is that there was a bit too much bread, but I find this the case with most foccacias any where. Pasta Gourmet's menu includes pasta (shock!!!), pizza, curry, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, chicken schnitzel, a large breakfast menu, cakes, and of course tea, coffee and cold drinks. The atmosphere was clean and the layout was really cute with wooden boxes filled with cacti and industrial lighting in the venue. It has beautiful big windows opening out onto Jetty Rd so you can feel like part of the nightlife without getting abused by any of it. Overall if you need a quick fix meal that is reasonably priced, very fresh and reasonably healthy, this is a great option on Jetty Rd.

I don't think the noodles are as good as Wok in a Box down the street but they are passable. The sauce is a little gluggier but the chicken is probably nicer. What I do like about Noodle Box is that it has a lot of seating options. You can sit outside on the footpath watching the passing parade or out the back in a quaint, quiet little courtyard. The day we went along we were served by a lovely young girl who couldn't do enough for us so either the ownership has changed hands or they at least hire good staff. The only reason I don't give this more stars is because of my previous really bad experience. I probably won't return for this reason alone but if you are looking for noodles with a pleasant seating environment this isn't a bad option.

And ... I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a hot dog with bacon, cheese and mustard. The bun was toasted on the inside (win!), the 'dog' was nice (and kinda crispy on the outside), though I could have done with a bit more bacon. It was actually one of the better hot dogs I've tried! The menu board was full of what you would expect - yiros, hot chips and the like. But there were also a few baguettes (the yiros baguette is strange, but somehow tempting ...) as well as the hotdogs. More intriguing though is the coffee machine which greets the customer as soon as they walk in - I also spied a few sweet treats (a lemon curt tart, I kid you not!!), so I will definitely be coming in here in the next week to test out the coffee. I guess you can't always judge a place by the name and the decor ;)
