Back there we got shitty service and no explanation about the portion; "this is it" was all they said. I wont come back and they lost a good costumer. There are plenty of other Indonesian places in the city and I don't understand how this place can have the arrogance to think they will get away with this behavior. Sad!

We got an early-ish start leaving Amsterdam and driving south to go see the tulip fields. We spotted a McDonald's and thoughts, what the hell; let's have a Micky D's breakfast! First of all, McDonald's in Holland/Netherlands are different. If you didn't see the arches sign, you'd probably not know that they were McD restaurants. They're brown, wood-looking. This particular one was off the main road and you had to drive down a road that had different stores on it to get to the place. How to get there is not really evident until you pay closer attention. First of all the coffee was really tasty. Actually I thik it was Segafredda brand, which is good although I do like McD's brand back in the USA. We ordered a couple of Egg McMuffins although I was also tempted to have the pancakes. The place had the typical breakfast menu. And one thing abaout McD's, the food pretty much tastes the same whichever restaurant you go to - if you're lucky. Nice clean place and a smiling staff and like most places in Holland, the staff speaks English.

My girl said it tasted more like goat or deer than veal (could have been free roaming grass fed). But she did enjoy it. "It's very very good. Maybe the item title is translated wrong". The roasted potatoes were also a little over cooked and mushy. I would come again to try other menu items. I do have concerns about the drinks policy. Wassenaar is one rich town but you'll find that people from all over the region visit the park. It's beautiful year round. When we were there there was a live feed of hatching owls in the attic above the visitor center. We visited right after a heavy rain, but it was no issue as the sandy soils of the dunes drain the water super fast. No mud or puddles. We had drinks and pancakes in the restaurant. The restaurant is very comfortable and good size with indoor (including fireplace) and outdoor seating. Pancakes were definitely not the best (toppings "dumped" on top rather than cooked w the pancake) but came out pretty quick. The park / location: 5 stars
