As a former employee, I hope this review holds somewhat more bearing then the average review. Let's break this down into 2 parts: 1) Before COVID 19 and 2)During COVID 19
Before COVID 19
During the "training" process or lack thereof for better terms. I was trained in the kitchen for 2 days the crew trainer did a fine job and was very knowledgeable and engaging. The next 2 days of training for the front cashier was nothing more than 15minutes learning the actual till itself and the rest of the time was spent being tasked out to do the overnight manager duties she did not want to do. Later I found out it was more likely due to her ability to scarf down more Yorkies than actual work being done. I'm sure you don't need to look that hard to find the melted chocolate flakes and smudge marks at the office desk to prove this theory correct. As time went on I met more managers who enlightened me on what my actual duties were by asking me why I didn't get certain things done and why some things were never done. I was never taught nor explained these things. The first shift that finally wasn't with the real-life state puff marshmallow man from ghostbuster I actually learned my job. The other manager was very insightful, engaging, and knowledgeable at her job. She actually cared about her job and showed it. (just so no one can take credit their name starts with an L). As time went on this hot mess of a human being decided to try and throw people under the bus if you well. The most dramatic and dumbest shit I have ever witnessed in my life. Blaming her entire crew for her shortcomings and downfall. Have no idea if she had a big bowl of glue for breakfast that day, but somehow she forgot it was time for her yearly review. Assessments were made every crew person was interviewed about her and the results were unanimous she was borderline braindead, hard to work with, etc. Mind you these were people from years of being at McDonald's saying these things. Needless to say, she did not get her whopping .25cent raise for the year. Found out more than 10+ people rearranged their availability to avoid working with her I thought about it, but could not cause the only hours they give for full-time is that shift. This constant bullshit of her trying to get me and others in trouble went off and on for about a month. Found out from one of the other co-workers it was because we were males and she was trying to get an all-female crew going. As for the GM taking action on this well unless action had its name changed to "doodle bug" there was zero thought or effort put into this. Another person who wants an all-female crew just look at the roster. (and don't even try to say, "we just hired one" we all know why let us not get into that.) As I stayed on the McDonald's train things became more clear on what was actually happening. Her "friends" would take days off at a time (I'm talking like 4+), come in late, rearrange their agendas to accommodate her "friends", she even got caught taking home expired muffins left on the office desk for the GM to find. Those are just a few of the many dumb things that occurred under her faithful watch as a Manager. She is nothing more than officer Duffy from scary movie without the smart reveal at the end.
I'll just list off a few more than things instead of explaining to save the character space:
-She allows employees to read the end of the day results, earnings, etc.
-She edits and modifies employee hours I have tested this before.
-The only task for the night put muffins in oven walk around and shriek in her voice that sounds like a seal is being clubbed.
-Smack talks restaurant to customers.
-Spills shit over everything you've cleaned.
- Pulls out tools to clean things without actually cleaning the machines.
- Literally talks shit about every single employee to other employees
During COVID 19
COVID 19 is a scary real threat out there. So what better way to act on our image and say "We're here for the front line workers!" AKA we're the only thing open, buy shit from us. Here's a medium coffee for free, thanks for the $7 in breakfast you spent. I would like to take the time to applaud our fearless leader the GM for taking this time to book a vacation away from the restaurant when everything is super chaotic and questions go unanswered cause no one can answer them! Even if it was pre-booked it's not every year you get a pandemic going on and you're needed more then ever. I guess it just blends into her own schedule making and still being late for it. I am thankful she did show me the ability to focus on the dumbest shit and waste a ton of time on the dumbest shit that doesn't matter and could easily be a secondary task. When a sentence like "Me and a crew member spent 6 hours yesterday figuring out how to clean the base of this table so it looks brand new!" is an actual thing that is said out loud you're in for some great times. Anyhow, some suggestions were made in regards to remove public condiments read more
