It was a haul from our house, but worth it for her safety and eventual peace of mind. CMH has a great reputation across the KC region, and I had no idea they even had a location up north here on Barry Road. It's kind of a random spot; I was expecting a full-blown hospital but it's sort of positioned in the back of a quiet strip mall. Easy in and out at least. You can check in on a computer when you walk in, and there are people around in case there are any issues. In our case, a bone in her elbow had separated, but almost miraculously gone back in right at the start of the appointment. So basically, it's like when you take the car into the shop and it stops making the noise and is fixed. Luckily the doctor explained exactly how this takes place, what to look for, and we were happily on our way. Overall a nice experience here and appreciate having them in the area in case things go down.

"Thats for Centerwell!" Yes, I know. I'm there to get my medication which I was told by my doctor to go to. She started yelling again "we don't serve people like you!" Okay? You don't give people their medicine? The hell does that mean? So, I moved my car regardless but the sign says Centerwell so I assumed it was for both the Pharmacy and the Clinic there. Either way, the lady that yelled at me was incredibly rude and I have no interest in recommending it to the elderly if she's there. if she's willing to yell at me. She's likely willing to yell at the elderly.

The University of Kansas Hospital may be well recognized and awarded but when you visit their…read morefacilities such as this Creekwood Urgent Care, you will notice a drastic drop in professionalism and care, at least that is what I have experienced. I recently lacerated my thin and could not get it to stop bleeding so my fiance decided to take me to an Urgent Care as they would have the ability to either stitch it up, apply dermabond around it, or something better than the band-aids we had at home. We called around 12:20pm letting them know that we would be on our way and the staff on the phone made it seem as if they were done seeing people for the day. We rushed over anyway, hoping they'd still see us. We arrived around 12:40pm and found their door locked and they no longer answered their phone. Their operating hours on Saturday specifically say 8:00am - 1:00pm on the door. Why have operating hours but not follow them? What irks me the most is that the door also specifically says walk-in are welcome on Saturdays. It is extremely frustrating to expect care at an urgent care but end up having a door closed. The University Of Kansas Health Systems definitely needs to either change this location's Urgent Care hours so that they are not advertising false times or they need to hire a health team in this facility that places patient care first!
