Some of the good companies I found do not cover Gainesville area. Then one my of neighbors recommended Retex. She had the roof done in August and Retex was the cheapest quote. So I called Retex, and the phone was answered right away (not like some other places I called). Wes met with me over zoom and went over the whole re-roofing process with a powerpoint presentation (what would be replaced and what might be extra). The quoted price wasn't the cheapest, but I liked how Wes went through the whole procedure, so I decided to go with Retex. The job was done promptly, the crew was courteous. Wes was very communicative during the whole process. What I liked the most is that whatever concern I had, Wes would address them until I am satisfied. Looking back, it would be an even better experience if I told them my expectations in detail before the job was done. There isn't much rain yet, but I believe the roof will hold up in heavy rains. Even if there is a problem, I am confident that Retex will come back and address it. I would definitely recommend Retex to friends.

Due to hurricane Idalia and some strong wind storms recently some of the screws had raised up. Michael Pittman and Son Roofing is licensed and insured, which was very important to me as a customer as the pitch on my roof is very steep. We met with Michael and Son, they reviewed the issue of raised screws, made the recommendation to replace all current screws with an improved, slightly larger screw. We approved the quote for the work and was placed on the schedule. Crew worked very efficiently, cleaned up all screws removed, replaced the roof vent boots and caulked all boots against water intrusion. Communications via voice, email and text to keep us updated on the schedule and work being completed was excellent. Trevor Pittman was on site while the screw replacement was being completed. We feel we received an excellent job with the right company for our needs at a very good value. Would continue to recommend Michael Pittman and Son Roofing to others without hesitation. Worthmann Roofing replaced our roof in May 2022. By fall 2023, it leaked. They came out, did a…read morequick repair, and patched the ceiling. Less than a year later, the leak returned. They found rotted wood and visible mold. A storm also blew off shingles around the same time. I reported everything immediately and followed up multiple times. After months of silence, I sent a certified demand letter in December 2024. They never replied. It is now January 2026. Worthmann has gone completely silent, no repairs, no updates, no accountability. I've filed formal complaints with the state and BBB. Extremely disappointed in how they've handled this. Warranty means nothing if a company disappears when it matters. Update (April 2026): After filing formal complaints, a representative from Worthmann Roofing contacted me. They indicated they are working on a plan to address the issue. As of now, I have not yet received a written repair plan or timeline, and the matter remains unresolved. I will update again once there is a concrete plan and the work is completed.

I had seen some of the work they had done on both commercial and residential jobs and liked what I saw. Once I signed the contract, they immediately applied for the permit. Tyler kept me up to date on the actual start date because it was a tentative date (with all the rain we have in Florida, you just never know). They were only off by a few days. Each day, the workers showed up by 8:00 am (close to 7:30 am) and would work through the 90 degree weather and stay until sundown (after 8:00 pm) each night. They were all very friendly and kept the job site very clean. I have not found a roofing nail yet!! The best part about this company is the fact that throughout the entire process of replacing the roof, they would communicate with me via photos (phone calls too). As they were ripping off the roof and finding various areas of water damage due to overhanging trees, the foreman would take pictures and upload them to a photo app that was shared between me (the homeowner), Tyler (salesman) and the foreman. I was able to ask questions via the app as well as call Tyler asking what steps needed to be taken next. This really was beneficial for me. I was not able to be home during the day but I felt that I was notified of various things through the entire process and could actually see what was going on and what needed to be done. Once they fixed the problem areas, they would take pictures showing the completed work. The price of the replacing my roof was not the cheapest but rather a fair price and priced in the median range compared to other quotes I received. Getting the quote only took a few days which was a good indication to me (other companies took up to two weeks to come out an inspect my roof). Some things that I was looking for, watching, and generally noticed during my process of finding a roofing company: Locally Owned Solid customer service follow-up to my initial online request to companies. Better Business Bureau BBB profile (not just the rating) Google and other online reviews and referrals (i/e local facebook pages etc) How would they treat me, a woman, buying a roof? Did they ask me questions or try to address my concerns? Were they using quality materials and did they seem reliable to install it properly so that all warranties would hold up over time? After the consult, did they badger me or were they patient, or just not care and follow up at all? True Force ticked all those boxes for me, plus some. I am thrilled to be able to work with a company that is not only locally owned but also veteran-owned and operated. After getting quotes from a few companies, I researched things like their BBB pages, social media, and a google deep dive past my initial look at reviews. Though some companies boast a top BBB score, they have really bad customer service and it is evident by how they treat people submitting issues on their BBB page. Some companies tried to get me to sign a work release and give them the project before they inspected the roof or gave me a quote or work plan since my homeowners insurance would possibly cover some repairs. On my roof inspection Jake and Rodolfo introduced themselves, asked questions, did a walk of the property, got on the roof, etc then provided me with a presentation and quote. My experience with Jake and Rodolfo was fantastic, they were highly professional, kind and treated me with respect. One thing I appreciated was True Force was very clear with the terms of their company warranty and it's length. Most companies were saying "lifetime" which sounds like they get to decide if the "lifetime" is 10 years or 2 years based on how they feel at the time of the issue, no real time commitment to servicing any future issues that may arise. The professionalism of the sales team and online reviews made me confident that the company would not cut corners and compromise my home or any warranties purchased from the materials manufacturer (GAF). Chase was the crew leader for my home and he did a great job of keeping me up to date on everything, and letting me know every issue this old house had in store for them, and talked to me and showed me what was going on as it was happening. The decking wasn't what was expected and there was a lot of rotting wood from not having proper ventilation, tree overhang, etc. They took care of all the rotted wood and made my roof more secure. The air quality in my home started changing by the next day, and my home feels much cooler. The crew was super respectful of my home and kind. They busted their butts on two record heat temperature days to fix my house. Another note of importance is True Force does have different financing options inhouse and they were super patient with me while I was waiting for the insurance settlement and exploring other finance options. I ended up using one they offer and it took less than a minute to fill out the application and get approved for that particular one. It was a really easy experience and their interest rate and no penalty for early payoff was better than any deal I was being offered through popular lending sites. Well, fine by me. I am going with a competitor and spending some of my time telling several others in my neighborhood to stay away from this utter disaster of a roofing company.
