I referred clients to him as a favor and got him some paid jobs and in return he promised me one free job but never delivered. I gave him information for the one job he agreed to do for free then I didn't hear back. I reached out to him awhile after that and he asked me to resend him the information, which I did. After not hearing from him for a while I reached out again and he said he was going through a hard time in his life so I was kind and understanding. But months after that I still hadn't heard back from him. When I reached out again to see if he was back to work, he said yes and that he had almost too much work. He said he lost my phone number because he switched phones. But he still had my email address and never reached out to me. But instead worked on other new paying jobs. I told him my confidence in having the one job I gave him done thoroughly and timely at this point was wavering. And he went off on me in anger. I said you're way over reacting and I agree family comes before business and reminded him that even though he switched phones he still has my email address. He was furious at this point. Even though this is business, not personal, he took it very personally. I suggested he use a spreadsheet or something to keep his long-standing clients contact information in case he switches phones again. and told him I don't appreciate that he's been back to work on paid jobs instead of keeping his word to complete the job I gave him or reaching out to me on email (to at least communicate about it). He started name-calling. Unable to remain professional. I pointed out how unprofessional he was being. Then he threatened to call the police for harassment if I texted him again. This guy has a temper, can turn on you quickly, and isn't reliable. He'll take the favors you give him such as new clients but he won't return the favor. Worse yet is the fact that he resorted to name-calling and insulting me personally. read more
