First he worked on the action, and the only word that comes to mind is it plays like silk, super easy and consistent. As far as buzzes, he did innovative work, creating what guitar players would call a zero fret to raise the strings so they don't buzz and have a consistent termination. He and his wife Patty did all the work by hand to make my vintage piano wonderful again. The piano had a cracked sound board which he repaired, replaced all the wires with premium bass and treble wire, the felts on the hammers, the cabinet was refinished to original beauty including lots of intricate carving on face, shaved the keys back slightly to get rid of chips due to age. He regilded the plate and the patent bar. He restored or replaced lost keyboard cover knobs, company decal, felts, new tuning pins and any other necessary parts. Bob has a parts department that has a variety of vintage strings, felts, pins, from years gone by and so he was able to restore it appropriately. He tuned it a number of times during the restoration. It is now a lovely work of art as well as being a musical instrument with excellent sound.
