Ok, I will be the first to write a review of Kathleen, happy to do it. I saw Kathleen for almost…read moretwo years when I lived in the Four Corners. I liked her when I first talked to her on the phone and even more in person. She is very down to earth and human, and her experience and advice was helpful and sound. The Durango area is very 'local' when it comes to something as sensitive as therapy and to be honest I didn't like alot of the other therapists I spoke to. I guess I will just be honest and say that I found some of them a little cliquey. I'm sorry, but there it is. Kathleen is independent and knowledgeable and I valued her insight and support. Alot of what good therapy is, is having a healthy relationship in which to be yourself and voice your fears and concerns without criticism or control. We all have to find our own way and develop a strong trust in our own intuition. I felt that Kathleen helped me to do that, and I appreciated her time. No one is perfect, and that's not the point. Honesty, sincerity and safe connection are where it's at. I definitely got that with her, and always felt safe and supported.

As someone living several states away from my aging father and stepmother,…read more knowing that my parents have a compassionate and competent caregiver gives me tremendous reassurance. My parents found Kara a few years ago, and working with her has been a gift for our family. She is reliable, methodical, and excellent in her ability to care for people; she is also kind and empathetic, and a daily light in my parent's lives. Kara is truly on a journey with them, through good times (birthdays! anniversaries! physical accomplishments!) and more challenging ones (injuries, surgeries, illness). She not only cares for my dad but helps with yard care and home projects requiring strength and/or height, walks and plays with their dog, runs errands as needed, and gives my stepmother a break and/or chance to catch up with friends. Some additional context: my dad was extremely active through his life up until his early 80's -- traveling the world, hiking/biking/skiing in the Rocky Mountains, and leading rafting trips on the Rio Grande and Animas. Kara is a former college athlete and now adult athlete, so I feel that she has extra understanding of the challenge for formerly active people whose capabilities are now more limited. Because she is so strong and physically active, my dad feels safe going for walks and doing his exercises with her -- he is more confident with her by his side than any of the rest of us. Little things like making him a nutritious and delicious sandwich each day (tailored to his dietary needs) help him stay as healthy as possible. Kara also spent/spends considerable time understanding who my parents were in their younger years, through both conversation and looking through photo albums and travel videos (even if she's seen them before). On the flip side, Kara shares what's going on her life, which has given my dad an additional "loved one" in his daily routine. We are thrilled to see her launching Nuturing Hearts and expanding her philosophy and practice to more people in the community. I am happy to provide additional details to anyone considering her services. Thank you Kara for giving my stepmother a partner in caring for my dad, for giving me and my brother peace of mind, and for giving my dad the dignity and joy he deserves at this stage in his life.

Kara has been caring for one of my close friends the last two years. Prior to Kara being hired…read moreseveral of us were trying to figure out her care by assisting her with doctor's appointments, prescriptions and medication dispensing. At that time our friend was grieving her husband's recent death; she was unable to mentally track what was going on with her. Her memory was garbled. Her sleep and eating were irregular and poor; she was unsafe and fearful. She did not have any family living in our community. With several of us providing what help we could there was not one person coordinating her medical treatment which resulted in missed appointments, inaccurate medication dispensing and poor communication concerning medical follow up. Reluctantly and with trust issues, my friend agreed to hire Kara. Her biggest fear was loss of control and realizing she could not keep her thoughts in order. Kara's first approach was to really get to know our friend and to listen to what she wanted and needed. With unending patience, Kara kept our friend in control; she encouraged our friend that she would get better and eventually be able to provide a lot of her self-care. Kara became the person she both enjoyed and trusted most; they had fun together and our friend felt very understood and accepted. Kara is very compassionate, encouraging and safety conscious. She did move in to coordinate doctor's recommendations and prescriptions dosing which made a huge difference. After two years Kara continues to provide support for our friend who has faced new medical challenges. She honors our friends needs first and encourages her that she does need to follow medical recommendations. Kara has a delightful personality with clear boundaries. She has been consistently dependable. from Susan McGinness

My…read moreparent did not receive an email back so I decided to go in the next day since they were advertising for new patients. When arriving at the office I foun that the waiting room was empty. Arriving at 11:00 knowing the office would not be out for lunch. She said that she does not take walk in. She could see me in a week, which did not make any since because there was no one but her and her receptionist in the office. She argued and said it was a state law that she could not see walk ins. Not sure how true that is since I have done this many times before at other offices and I had seen her 2 years prior. Did not find her very nice in fact, condescending and rude. Needless to say I told her to take me off her email address list and not to market to me or my family in the future. If your looking for someone to see you in a moment notice this is not the chiropractor to see. My biggest question is why is the facility name Cafe of life.......are we eating there too. G

Not only did Venus support me to communicate effectively for some really challenging relationship…read moreconversations, but her love transmissions have guided me to up-level my own communication. I have found myself utilizing the techniques that she taught me on my own -- they come through me as if it were always my natural way of communicating! And the best part - it wasn't a long process! Her ability to connect me to my highest form of communication felt smooth and simple. Where I once felt frozen and incapable, I now feel confident to effectively tune into my own experience and share my needs and boundaries, while considering all parties involved. Venus creates absolute MAGIC through her coaching services and if you have the opportunity to work…read morewith her I highlyyyyyy recommend saying yes to this once in a lifetime opportunity. I started working with Venus at a time when I was at an absolute loss for how to cultivate a healthy, empowered romantic partnership. Time & time again I'd found myself diving headfirst into a relationship, becoming all-consumed, getting lost in it.. & then watching everything crash & burn in utter devastation. I'm absolutely amazed at how much progress I've made with her in such a short period of time. I can truly say that Venus has helped me create more profound healing & transformation inside of myself than any other coach, healer or therapist I've worked with (and I've worked with sooo many). She's not only helped me turn my love life around, but she's also helped me fall more deeply in love with myself and deepen my ability to really hold myself through anything that comes up in life. I long thought of myself as someone who really feels my feelings...yet Venus helped me uncover all the places I was still stuck, frozen & suppressed and move old emotional energy so that I could show up as a more loving, empowered & mature version of myself in my relationships - in Love, friendship, family, and even in business. I'm now feeling more confident & whole than ever before, and I strongly attribute it to our work together. Venus has even helped me repair the romantic partnership that was falling apart when I first started working with her... and alchemize it into a dreamy, solid, interdependent connection. Every time she helps me shift something inside of myself, I see a potent & positive shift reflected immediately in my romantic relationship... It feels like literal magic. I could go on & on about what an amazing experience this is. Work with Venus if you want to powerfully change your life & experience more freedom, wholeness & fulfilling human connection!!

While I was making my purchase, the lady was very sure to educate me on the uses of herbal blends to help with my problems both physically and almost spiritually. I am a…read moremother of two kiddos who have just completed their treatment plans with Dr. Lovell, so we've had some time to really get to know this practice and the staff. Let me start by saying that from the very first appointment I was impressed to see Dr. Lovell inform two prospective clients that they were not ready for braces and if they were to begin now, they would end up having to do two rounds. He saved them time, energy, money, and the risk of their teeth having issues from too much time in braces. Secondly, I have to admit that I do not love driving Colorado roads all the time, but this location was hands down worth the hour drive from Pagosa for my children to receive amazing care with exceptional people (even through Covid). It actually was bitter sweet when both my kids got their braces off on the same day and I would no longer get to visit. I encourage you to make an appointment and see for yourself, plus their venue is quite quirky and fun too.
