Grandmother recommended I go see her eye doctor at Family Eye Care, so I did. The office, including bathroom, were exceptionally clean; the staff was warm and proficient. Being my first visit, I completed the necessary paperwork, but it wasn't overwhelming. While waiting to see the optometrist, I was able to browse name brand frames on display and try several different ones on that caught my eye. I enjoyed being allowed to browse on my own without the hard sales pitch. While I didn't have an appointment, I was able to see Dr. White in a timely manner. Dr. White was very professional as well as down-to-earth at the same time. I had a few questions regarding my eye sight and I was able to comprehend all he said. Most eye doctors like to throw out elaborate terms without any explanation whatsoever, but Dr. White made sure he and I were on the same page. In fact, he talked me through the entire exam process, explaining what he was doing and why. I valued his doctor-patient interaction very much! There's just something about getting my eyes dilated and that PUFF that intimidates me; however, Dr. White was able to put me as ease during this process. Once my exam was completed, he fitted me with my contacts, gave me my prescriptions and I was on my way. If I had more time, I would have ordered some glasses. I did order three boxes of disposable contacts with his office that day and it didn't take long for them to arrive. My first visit at Family Eye Care in Salem to see Dr. White will not be my last. The knowledgeable Dr. White, his delightful staff and their impeccable services are excellent! I would highly recommend Family Eye Care in Salem to anyone.
