But it's the inside that is like opening up a present on Christmas morning, any and all artists will find something they enjoy here, the gallery is very diverse. +Christie Calaycay: traditional metalsmithing techniques [piercing, forming, forging, hard soldering, textural hammering, and riveting]. Emphasizes organic qualities & natural appearance. Jewelry meant to ground & connect the wearer to nature/environment. +Andy Herod: screen printing, acrylics, aerosol stencils, guache, watercolor, wood working and drawing. +Nancy Hilliard Joyce: matte acrylic hues, various hand-made papers & touches of oil colors. +John Mac Kah: Paintings as experiences! +Metal and Thread: Textile work {Derek Dominy: fascination with the formation of various alloys}. +Victoria Pinney: Oil paint & waxing to create abstract works. +REVOLVE: Studio [inside a gallery!] They were doing an exhibit with works from a local university during my visit. +Akira Satake: Ceramics!! This looks like a cool building, but all in all we enjoyed some of the nearby galleries better.

It's like 3 rooms total, all of them in basically the same space, there's probably a whole like 4 or 5 things for the kids to do that they can probably do within 30 minutes. The admission price should be like $5 for what it's worth. The lady at the front told me there was a bunch of hands on activities for babies and I'd say there was like three. The first room was a tiny room with a virtual earth, that if you touch the screen it says it will move but it doesn't work, everything else in that room is just reading/writing (made for tweens and up) and not very fun or engaging. Then there's a room full of rocks behind glass displays, not very exciting or hands on for kids (even as an adult, I felt like it was boring). There's one little section in the room where the kids can brush sand off rocks, but it was nothing special. The room with the bikes is the coolest room, but it's very small and like I said there's barely anything to do. You can look at different bikes on display, they have like 2 or 3 interactive things you can do to learn about how bikes work which take a minute to do. The there's a tiny jungle gym kind of thing that's sub-par, a water play area that's also sub-par and a sand pit where you can look for fossils which I guess would have been fun if my child was a bit older, but for little ones like mine, there wasn't much. He had a very tiny section in the corner he could play with and then he got bored. I guess I'm a bit spoiled because we live in the Triad and we have 3 of the best children's museums. It's guess it's a good thing to do to kill time if you literally have nothing else to do with your kids in Asheville but if I knew what it would be like I probably wouldn't do it again.

And it was the highlight of our whole weekend. We were able to pay the new switch which was fantastic (and also showed us we do not want to buy one yet haha!). Tons of pinball, some classic games in the back, and honestly, hours worth of fun. You can rent any console you could want. The $10 cover was all games for free so it was perfect. They had a bunch of really fantastic beers, I tried a couple and am still thinking about a caramel apple one I tried here. So great. The conversation with the bartender was awesome, we learned a lot about the area, history, and what has happened in the last year. Such a great experience. Highly, highly recommend to anyone. Instead of bar hopping, come here and you'll have a blast.

Absolutely shocked to find that I have never been to the spot before. I think that perhaps I always…read morethought it was the fine arts theater or gotten confused or maybe they're advertising is so good that I've seen a lot of shows posted, but never actually had the privilege of attending. Speaking of privilege, a lot of that here. Went to see a show in the balcony the other night and it was a nice experience. Definitely wear a lot of the older wealthier Asheville citizens gather. Certainly a crowd here. Could've also been the event we went to which was a cultural performance. Ultimately, I appreciate that we have cultural performances in our city and a space for them. Parking was a little annoying just because it was Saturday downtown but I do like the space is central. Lots of places to eat at around. Finding it was incredibly easy as well. Inside, there was quite a bottleneck as we arrived about 20 minutes before the show. We did have to wait in line. It was a little bit confusing to figure out exactly where to go but some staff helped. They had wine for sale- house and pricier stuff. The house was around nine dollars a glass. I really appreciate that the staff helped us shoes and gave their opinion. The staff working the wine area was incredibly kind. The stage itself was gorgeous. It was very easy to see in here, no matter where you were.

There was overflow parking in which a there was a free shuttle running from the overflow location to festival and back. One of the big positives was a large amount of local vendors(Guessing about 25ish). There were some pretty amazing dishes that were offered from the event. There was also some live music, and a few special brews made by Highlands Brewing. I did try a few of the specialty beers and they were ok. I think the event was a little smaller that what I was expecting considering it was bacon "fest". I will give Highlands and 105.9 "The Mountain" credit as after the event last year, they had a survey of those that attended the event and they made some changes based upon that feedback (from what I have heard from some of last years attendees). I can say that a few days after the event this year, I did in fact receive a survey. I look forward to seeing the changes next year and enjoying some amazing local food!

They'll go out of their way to help you here. III. QUALITY Vast amount of selection of artwork on various mediums. I like this specific location because everything is up for purchase. So, it's not like you can just observe and move on ~ you can actually buy it if you want it.

The instant you walk through the door, it is obvious that this place was built on love and intention. The space is filled with art from floor to ceiling but doesn't feel cluttered. It kinda feels like a big, warm art hug when you walk through the doors. A lot of the art has a kind of "hippie/spiritual" vibe to it. The art filling the studio is colorful and expressive. They showcase multiple artists' work and have a few studios that you can walk through as well as the main gallery hall. When the weather starts warming up, they will be planing a garden and sculpture area outside as well. This outside area will be quite large, the same size as their indoor space. This is an amazing gallery and I already can't wait to go back!
