SCAM ALERT! During the initial sale deal, I stated to the salesman that i must have a complete alighment, second key with FOB, window repair, tire jack, touch up paint completed and tools. I was specific in my request. When we started the paperwork, a sales manager Manny, demanded that we pay an extra $500 to complete the sale. We told him no and we all argued about the price of the vehicle and why we should or should not pay more money. HERE IS WERE THE SCAM IS DONE AND APPROVED BY THE DEALERSHIP. Another manager (female store manager) approves the deal. The salesman states the finance manager is busy and will help us fill out the paperwork. He is told that all items of concern will be handled by the administration department. There is no reason to write a "WE OWE" statement, we will complete everything. We (the dealership) will even bring out the paperwork to your home so you do not have to wait. Now that all the paperwork is signed the dealership fails to provide the key (most expensive item). The manager states that the dealership does not have to provide a key because it is up to the administration depart to contact me. The administration department states that is up to the sales and financial department to ensure that is in the paperwork. The dealership states that they have no obligation to provide anything. So why did the the dealership provide services without a "WE OWE" or a contract? it is not out of the kindness or to provided quality service for their customers. Those items are already paid for a the lowest cost. The jack that does not fit the current vechile, it came from another car. A windshield repair man is on retainer along with those services are done in house. They refuse to acknowled that I am owed a second key with FOB because they would have to go outside their service to provide a service at another dealerships cost that is almost $700. So beware and always have all your concerns on the "WE OWE" at this dealership. They will blame each other and put you in the middle and not honor their agreed upone deal. They teach their young salesman to play the carsales man game. FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO BUY YOUR CAR.

Details: 1) I called Byrider on May 6th to look into a vehicle. During the interview process i was asked how much i spend on food each month. Very easy for me to budget as all my finances are in an excel sheet. I told Byrider i spend 600-800/Mo. Their response was "Okay, We're going to put 300". They then asked about how much i spend on ciggarettes. Again, i told the truth and they said "Okay, im going to put down $30.". I was already recording, so i let this charade continue... Around 6pm we finished the interview process and they told me to head down. I took an Uber, saw a 2011 Camry they said just arrived that day, and we bagan the paperwork. 2) Upon getting disclaimers from the sales rep, he said i required Liability only to leave the lot. As he told me this with the paper in my hand i asked, "why does it say you need both collision and liability?". He looked at me surprised as if no customer ever read the documents before, then said "its just easier if we do it this way". Knowing something was off, i pulled up my proggressive app and began putting liability and collision on the vehicle. When prompted in the app for the lien holder, i asled the DReis for the lien holder. He said (and this is recorded) "just put own, not making payments". I then was forced to wath Ai disclaimers that took literally 30minutes because you are forced to let the ai women finish each paragraph despite me being deaf and capable of reading. During the disclaimers, 2000 dollars was taken from my account. Thia was PRIOR to me signing. This took my ability to uber home away and cancel the deal. In general i just wanted to get out so i could be up for work in the a.m. 3) Car had issues and Byrider puts the burden on the customer to get in writing. I sent them the following email and they have yet to respond other than telling me to call them. They refuse to put anything in writing, Hey folks, As discussed in previous emails and calls: The 2011 Toyota Camry Purchashed on May 6, 2026 has multiple issues and im looking for resolution. I require agreement and acknowledgement of each item below: 1) Front Left Light assembly inoperable. No Low beam No high beam and no turn signal 2) Oil at minimum / below lower limit. 3) Driver side switches do not operate passenger window or rear windows. 4) Dashlights are incredibly dim and hard to read speedometer. This may be a cargo light roller switch i simply havent found yet. So double check me on this one. 5) A/C needs charge or correction. inoperable. 6) Alignment needs to be looked at. Car pulls to the right. 7) Need assistance/info on getting correct liability and collosion. Not happy about requesting the lien holder name and being instructed by Byrider to choose "own, not making payments". This is proven by the recording of the entire process i have. 8) Kelly blue book for this car is way under price. This is a good opportunity for byrider to show good faith and reduce price. 9) I would like written instruction on how to pay extra on the principle of the loan bi-weekly. i will only be accepting responses and resolution plan in writing. No calls, and any calls will be recorded. I can make myself available Friday May 15th afternoon to drop the car off, if byrider can atleast commit to having the light assembly and oil level corrected by Sunday May 17th Regards, Mitch ---- Bringing the car down this a.m. (may 14th Thursday). Ill update this accordingly. Link to the youtube video of the entire process will be here once im done uploading. [] i will remove this review once Byrider makes this right. Mitch

We also had money to put down besides the equity from the trade in. We sat at the salesman's desk for about 5 minutes before we went to test drive the vehicle. After test driving the vehicle we wanted to get we went back in to see what kind of deal could be worked out. We stood at the entrance for about 30-45 minutes before we were asked for the keys for our trade. Then waited around for about another half hour before looking for the salesman - who was helping out a couple other customers while we were waiting. We never were asked to go back to the salesman's desk to work numbers and instead were discussing some initial numbers to include the paltry offering for our trade in the service waiting area. Not that we were expecting an exorbitant amount of money for our trade but it was a pathetic offering for a 2020 year, always garage kept and in great condition, and with less than 36,000 miles on it. We've bought at that dealership at least twice when it was Larry Miller Liberty Toyota and each time we were treated like they actually wanted our business and they sat down with us and we took the time to work a deal. That was definitely not the case with Corwin. We felt like they couldn't care less if we were there or not. The salesman was nice enough but just didn't act like they had time to try to work something out since we weren't going to put down a ton of money for a down payment. In hindsight we should've taken the hint and just left and went somewhere else while we were standing there just waiting, but we wanted to try to make a deal on our end. After all was said and done, we got the vehicle - and the deal - that worked for us at a Denver area dealership who was actually willing to properly sit down with us and work the numbers. We won't be going back to Corwin dealerships when the time comes to buy a vehicle again.

Also, The address is extremely far from my house. About a 30 minute drive. I get to the address. You have to ring a doorbell before being seen. Not much a greeting or customer service but I can manage. My dads a mechanic after all. We awkwardly walk over to my car. Then, the questions start that should've been asked on the phone before I spent the money on gas and took the time to drive to this address. "What's wrong with the car?" "What work needs to be done on it?" "How many miles does it have?" I answer all the questions honestly as you should with a car that someone is looking to give you money for. The one thing the guy told me is that the miles were too much and he couldn't take it. Now, I get it. The miles are too much. It's a bit of a risk to pawn it incase I can't get it out and he has to sell it. Why wasn't I asked that first before I took time to drive down here? It's my first time pawning a car. It's embarrassing for me to even be pawning my car to get money in the first place. On top of it. I was already strapped for cash thinking that I would get something out of this. Even if it was small. My feedback to the business. Ask more questions before someone does this. That goes double for anyone thinking of driving here. I walked away so upset, embarrassed, and the guy could really care less. Do not recommend going here if you are thinking of pawning your car. Consider your options and most importantly your money before going here. Stay safe.

After having the vehicle inspected this last time, I was told it needs a new engine and turbo repairs that cost thousands of dollars and should never happen right after buying a vehicle. However, after the issues came up, their own shop ended up labeling the vehicle as needing major mechanical work. So somehow a vehicle that supposedly passed inspection was still sold, only to later be identified by their own people as needing catastrophic repairs. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about the quality of their inspections and the vehicles they are willing to sell. A used car may have minor issues, but a blown engine and turbo is not normal wear and tear, that's a massive failure. This vehicle should never have been sold in that condition. Now In a short time it's become a paperweight of a vehicle I had just purchased. The rear windows are limo tint and the front windows were around 28%. I told the agent I was working with at least eight separate times that I could not purchase the vehicle with that tint. Not only is it illegal in Colorado, it also makes the car very difficult to drive at night. Each time, I made it clear that the tint would need to be removed before I could buy the car. To pick up the vehicle, I drove about 1.5 hours south while my mother drove about an hour north to meet me there. When I arrived, they attempted to sell me the vehicle with the illegal tint still on it, despite all the previous conversations where I had specifically asked that it be removed. What is most frustrating is that no one ever told me they would refuse to remove the tint. If they had simply told me that ahead of time, I would have saved three hours of driving and a completely wasted trip. Instead, I showed up only to find out the car was not something I could legally buy or safely drive. Chris at that location (I don't know his last name, and there are two of them) repeatedly assured me things would be handled, but in the end nothing was resolved. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. After this experience, I hope to never do business with CarMax again, especially this location. If you are considering buying a car from here, I would strongly encourage you to think carefully and consider other options. My experience with their customer service was extremely poor, and it felt like my concerns as a customer simply didn't matter.
