I have been going to this church for about a month now and I would be very weary of this place if I were you. Almost every single service consists of Pastor Robin shamelessly plugging a book which he has written. Even more scary is the "pastors" under Robin several times throughout the service will market the book to the audience. This is not a "jesus" oriented church this is some kind of false teaching propaganda institution. I have also meet some of the staff members here and they were cordial but overall I am extremely disappointed with this church.

This is a wonderful church located in the center of San Marcos. They offer several types of worship…read moreon Sunday, from traditional to contemporary, and it seems more important that you are simply there than how you're dressed or who you are. Great music, good preaching, kids are welcome, and the people are nice. They offer a wide variety of programs for children, youth, college-age, adult and seniors. It's the oldest church in San Marcos, but its growing out new ministries and getting new members every Sunday. There's a large Sunday School program with many different options. They also have a good-sized youth program and program for elementary-aged kids. The have a staffed nursery with many of the same workers each Sunday which seems great. The church also is active through community service. They run a food pantry that's open every week, and they have mission service opportunities each month. These events are great for families as well as young adults to get to know each other and people in the town better. The church also sponsors a Mother's Day Out program during the week - its one of the best childcare programs in San Marcos. They enroll babies up to preK, but call and reserve a spot - they always seem to have a waiting list (but I hear they work hard to get kids into the program) Check it out - it's close to the Texas State campus if you're walking and it's the big white church next to the little HEB. Their website seems to be updated regularly. And its recently renovated 1893 historic sanctuary is worth checking out. It is literally a San Marcos landmark!

They chose not to. There is no reason for 1 person to stand in front of the handicapped stall door. Especially when you can see, hear and know someone is in there. The lady that was changing her babies diaper was not in the way. The women talking to her and the baby was. I almost fell. Then another women assumed I had a bad attitude all the time. She didn't know I got hit up that morning with another unexpected bill and because of this injury I have been out of work for 9 months now. So she assumed that I had a bad attitude verses a bad morning. I was not going to explain myself to someone that assumes. The sermon from the preacher I enjoyed. They set me by another handicapped person. I guess if we're handicapped they think we all belong together. Instead of identifying us as Jesus does. At least the do have handicapped accommodations.

As soon as we entered The Spot (one of our favorite local places to go to) and saw it transformed into a Church, we all felt great. We kept our comments to ourselves as not not influence the rest of the family but as soon as the car doors shut the kids and my spouse and I were gushing. We felt warned by the greeting, the music was outstanding, and the message was powerful as well as thought provoking. We have kept coming and really feel like we are part of the community now.
