This group is fantastic!!! We have a condo at Turquoise Place and they have gone over and beyond with communication, customer service, and overall professional. Our building got hit by the hurricane. Although our unit didn't sustain any damage, we were unable to rent out our unit because the building was damaged tremendous. McCarron was so prompt in paying a "loss of rental income" that we didn't even know we had. The amount was very fair and they were wonderful to work with during a crises. We've used them for 6 years and have had nothing but excellent service. They are that "southern" sweet with great integrity and kindness. read more

Beware! they do nothing for you! don't return phone calls. will not get quotes on increased coverage. do not make sure you are fully covered (such as loss of income on our rental property). we had 25% of the coverage we should have. When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was never answered. numerous requests for the increase went up unanswered. this is just an example of their poor, incompetent service. they point the finger at an internal problem which they can't control. Stay away from this insurance group. I had set up an agreement with Kelsey to cover insurance of a condo I was purchasing. The condo was closing on Monday. I was told to call them to confirm closing on Monday so they could bind the policy. I called and left a message mid-morning with the receptionist that the condo was closing Monday and asked them to send the property management firm and me confirmation when it was complete. I got no response on Monday. Tuesday morning I placed several calls to McCarron and no one answered. Around 1 pm I called another insurance firm and they provided insurance that day. Next, I left a message and emailed the McCarron group (Kelsey) to tell them to stop any processing and to cancel my request since I had found another insurance company. Wednesday morning I found that they had charged my bank the total yearly amount for the insurance. I called McCarron and told them to take the charge off of my account. Kelsey implied it was my fault for them not following up and being out of the office on Tuesday. No apology. No admission of error. On Friday the charge was still on my account so i filed a fraud claim against this group. Save yourself a hassle, if they respond this way to customers i would hate to see how they respond to actual insurance claims. read more

So, I've been a McCarron customer for several years - what a disappointment. During this time I've sought ways to "bundle" my policies trying to get the most coverage for my $ - what a joke. I've learned as an independent agent the owner (let's say his name is Joe) could select certain carriers to better benifit his need rather than his customers. By only offering 1 or 2 options for autos (as an example) the customer may feel he or her has a choice but you can go to directly to McCarron's auto carriers own website and get a better deal. At McCarron Ins, there is no general agent with the ability or skill set to handle home, auto or boat/RV you are "man handled" through the most inefficient path of recklessness. To everyone - don't be fooled by their appearance and community involvement, there are other agents out there wanting to serve you with your interest in mind and simply care. If you have money to throw away and prefer to waste your time and energy then sign up with McCarron and sit back and enjoy the ride. read more
