I had been hoping to find some linens on sale for President's Day, but found much better bargains here at Ollie's. The store may look more like a warehouse than a shop, but don't let that put you off. Those shelves are stuffed with amazing bargains. Linens, clothes, housewares, cookware, grocery items (found a gallon-sized can of cashew nuts for $14.99!!!!), books - all at incredible deals. The selection of books was impressive, and so were the hiusewares. We found flats of canning jars for $6 less than at the local hardware store. Groceries are also clearance, but was pleased to find them well away from expiration dates, which is often not the case at discounts stores like Big Lots. The bath sheets are buttery soft, thick and cost less than a regular-sized towel from a department store. The brand (Fieldcrest) was of good quality as well. We found the drapery rods that were our original quest, by Better Homes & Gardens for $8 each. By contrast, Wal-Mart stocks the same brand of rods for $36 and upwards each. Customer Service was fast and easy. The checker told me I could get a discount if I signed up for their online club, which was MUCH appreciated since we spent $495! (THANK YOU!) Ollie's is GREAT, and we're already making lists for our next shop.

This is one of the the best discount stores I have ever seen, and I've been to a lot all over the world. Ollie's is a genuine, bonafide, real OUTLET, not a dollar store type place or one with "fake" items that are manufactured to sell wholesale. No, this is the real deal, a store that's packed with buyouts, overstocks, and closeouts and prices that are (almost always) fantastic steals. Think of it as a legit version of Big Lots. What sort of stuff did I find here? Espresso machines, household goods (cleaning products, appliances, cooking gadgets), food (ketchup, soup, sugar free candy), nice rugs, toys, luggage, electronics, garden hammocks, electric razors, basketballs, car jumper cables, dog beds...the list goes on and on. If you're looking for something, you may find it here -- and you'll get it for 70% or more off the retail price! This particular location has a phenomenal selection of books. Ollie's is a great place to stock up on gifts for literally anyone on your list. I wish I had an Ollie's near me in the Southwest, I'd probably go once a week. Heck, it may even be worth a plane ticket back to North Carolina just to shop here.

Hi. I live in Austin Texas and I come here twice a year to visit my mom and shop at Dwayne's…read more Today I went to the snack area and the red haired young lady at the counter was really rude to us. I did not feel at all like she wanted to welcome us. She did not enjoy anything about her job. I ordered two chocolate shakes and an orange aid. The lady asked me if I wanted pineapple or cherries or anything and when I looked at her and said no, I'd like the shakes plain please she snapped at me. I'm talking about the orange aid. I told her I'm not from here. I did not know that you guys added anything to it and I'm sorry. I just want a plain one. We went outside to the patio when our order was done, and I realized I did not have a straw for my orange aid. So my daughter went in to grab another straw and again the young redheaded lady told her I already gave you straws. My daughter said you gave us straws for the shake, but not for the orange drink. The redheaded lady orange told my daughter, You mean, orange aid. No, I wasn't born yesterday and I come here twice a year and I drop a lot of money at your store. I know that it seems like it'd be a desirable place for young people to work because you get a discount and it's a pretty cool place to work at I think that this girl might need some more training or maybe another girl who really wants to work at that store should take her place.

It is located near the Outlet Mall but far enough away (half a mile) from the traffic from there. The shopping center is technically located in Selma, NC. The parking lot is large, but you might still have trouble finding a parking place as it is a busy store. DeWayne's is not an outlet store but a high-quality, family-owned store with name brands. You will find clothing, Pandora, Kendra Scott, Hey Dude, Vineyard Vines, Simply Southern, Tommy Bahama, Julie Vos, Birkenstock, and Yeti coolers, as well as shoes and accessories. I am sure I missed a lot. I wouldn't normally go two days in a row, but after I posted my photos, I saw other photos of the upstairs. So I had to see what I missed, and I decided to go looking for an item. Upstairs was the Attic, where items are discounted 50% and 70% on Wednesdays, I was informed by an employee. Christmas Land is the largest Christmas store in North Carolina, with eleven decorated rooms. The Garden Center with indoor and outdoor plants was another popular area. They had bird seed, different types of soil, and containers. The Sweet Shop had a variety of fudge and Hershey's ice cream. There were other specialty foods throughout the store and closer to the cash registers. Everyone here was friendly, and I was even recognized on my second visit. When I entered for the first time, the employee could tell I was a little overwhelmed and helped me learn the layout of the store. If the outlet mall isn't for you, make sure you stop at DeWayne's for a much better experience. On my first visit, I left with Suzy Zoo items, fudge and chocolates. While I didn't find what I was looking for on the second day, I found something in the Christmas Land that would work. The line to check out was much longer, so I kept finding more items while waiting to pay. It was a good thing I didn't get a cart. They do have a rewards club, which I should have joined, as I am looking forward to returning.

What a beautiful family friendly garden, farm, nursery, and event space!…read more I just came here tonight for the first time, driving 45 minutes from Wilmington to attend their special class of picking wheat and then making homemade pizzas with that wheat. Check out their Instagram page and website for more details. Oh my gosh, this was the most fun experience. I am so glad that I did this! For such a cheap and affordable price of only $45, the ticket included a beautiful walk-through of the family Gardens, information about their gardens, upcoming events, and plants and flowers and more. We took a tractor ride out to the fields where we got to pick our own wheat. We then went through the process of turning it into flour by hand. Using the fresh flour that we made from our wheat, we then created our own pizza ms using the word-fired a 900° brick oven on site. This is such a great event for the whole family. In my class, there were kids as young as three years old and adults as old as 70s and 80s. You can attend alone, with a date, with your sibling, with your grandparents... The options are endless! This is friendly for everybody. Bottled water, sparkling water, beer, and wine available on site. They also kindly offered free cookies for dessert. And the place was decorated so beautifully with sparkling lights. They really worked hard to make this place special! I really enjoyed listening to the owner of the farm and nursery as well as meeting the rest of his family who helps with some of the pizza baking process. It poured down rain while I was there, but that made it even more fun and also funny. This place has a lot of events throughout the year and I will definitely be back. If you haven't been here, you certainly should. And think about becoming a member too!
