In Dec of 2019 I was diagnosed with cancer and had 2 operations and radiation treatment thru Feb, Mar, April and May of 2021. I also lost my business due to covid. Final paperwork wasn't filed until months later, then months after that I find out that some of the paperwork was "lost" at the clerks office. Supposedly it was refiled in May. It's now July and I have yet to receive a single child support payment. The RI child support office continues to tell me that they can't enforce it the order with missing paperwork. I continually make phone calls and send emails that go unanswered. Essentially I have a court order that can't be enforced and my hands are tied until I can get a response from the office. I WOULD NOT recommend hiring this office to help with child support issues. Lack of communication and follow through has put me significantly in debt and at a standstill. Increasingly frustrating!
