We spotted McBee Meat Company from the road on our way into Lamoni after exiting the interstate. My first thought... I wonder if they have a retail store like the Milo Locker...? Yes they do! It's more like several coolers and freezers and a shelf or two in the front lobby area...but it works! Since we were traveling I picked up a couple packs of the cheddar cheese marbled meat sticks, a couple more of the hot pepper cheese marbled meat sticks, beef jerky, and my gf grabbed a package of brats. Reasonable prices and great service there at the counter! I think we've dipped into everything by now and it was all great! My favorite was probably the hot pepper cheese meat sticks, but that's right up my ally! If you're going into (or by) Lamoni make this a planned stop along with the Amish store across the road and Rusty Nail Antiques more downtown. read more

Great customer service. I was skeptical about all the meat being frozen but hearing about the procedures involved felt confident that my meat would be great and it was!! I bought several items but my go to is a boneless chuck roast and I was so amazed how tender and moist. I wear dentures so I don't enjoy beef much but this roast literally melted in my mouth.
