TL;DR:
Pretty good outlet in the greater Venice for (1) Italian leather goods, (2) Italian menswear. Not lower quality "factory store" stuff as you'll find in many outlets in the US but actual brand name goods just from last season, some at very steep discounts.
We were here for several hours surprisingly. People here were mostly European tourists and Italians.
If you're from the States, obvious advice is to stick to the Italian stuff. I had the best luck at Fendi and Prada where I found shoes for less than 100 euros (before tax back) off of a sticker price of 450 euros. Even at online discount retailers in the US you'll never find these prices, especially in classic styles and colors which run out super fast and/or will never go on sale in the first place.
Ferragamo and Bally also had some good deals at around 150 euros for classic women's pumps or flats.
For menswear, there are some really great deals at Brioni and Kiton, pants less than 50 euros, suiting at 50% off sticker price, etc.
Some tips:
- you have to spend 155 euros or more in the same store to get the tax refund.
- the info center near the parking has a 10% off card that you can apply to non sale items.
- as expected food here is pricey (10 euros for two slices of cantaloupe with some prosciutto) and not as good as you'd find elsewhere read more
