One of my favorite things about The Marmalade Tree is the wonderful purses they sell. These bags are not only fashionable and trendy, they are SO AFFORDABLE. During my last visit to the store, I brought in a necklace that I bought there over the Christmas holidays that I had never worn because it had become a tangled mess. The sales associate not only let me exchange it with no receipt, she took my word on the original cost. It is so hard to find a neighborhood store that still believes in the honor system....REFRESHING! I only wish I could remember the story of the name Turkey that I put in my first review of the place, which I overheard on m initial visit here. Located on Walden Parkway, it's part of a small strip of shops here. They have mostly children's items, like toys, clothing, and so on. There's also a selection of jewelry, cards, and candles/home fragrance as well. Service has been friendly when I've been in. This time when I was in I purchased a small doll that I thought would be cute for my little one. Parking doesn't really exist much RIGHT here. There are about five parallel spaces directly in front of the strip of shops along this stretch of Walden Parkway. However, it's right next to the 99th Street Metra station; the station house is on one end, and the parking lot/platform is on the other side. But there's parking on the surrounding streets.

They have a much smaller selection of the aforementioned in gold as well. But my favorite thing is their large collection of amber all set in sterling silver. I have bought a bunch of amber pieces from here, and even though I can be tough on jewelry, all of it has withstood. And all their pieces come with a guarantee.
