I ended up here after a month long bout with dentists and oral surgeons in several states. I called…read morelate one afternoon and they made me an appointment the very next day and, because my situation required swift response, I was able to have the surgery only two days after that. Other offices said that it could take weeks for me to be seen for a consultation and then even longer for surgery. Dr. Johnson was the most informed of all three dentists/surgeons I had seen and was very polite and understanding. He and his staff helped guide me through diagnosis of the cyst that had developed on my jaw and what my options were for treatment. We decided I would have my third molar removed and he would extract the cyst and send it for biopsy (just a procedure, it is very unlikely the cyst will be malignant). During my consultation, he showed me X-rays of other situations exactly like mine that he had taken care of. When the time came for my surgery I really felt that I was in good, experienced hands. Although oral surgery is never fun, Dr. Johnson and his staff made the ordeal as pleasant as possible. I am still waiting for my check up, but I am sure that will go just as well as the rest of my experience has. It's worth noting that they did not bill my medical insurance, only dental, which meant that I had to pay a bit more out of pocket than expected. However, after all the trouble I had to go through to get in this office, I felt it was worth it to know that I was finally in good hands. Additionally, they were upfront with the payment as soon as I came for the consultations so there were no surprises. They accept Care Credit, which is very helpful.

Had x rays completed in April 2018 along with an extraction totaling over $780. In October 2018 received a quote for extractions and was told cost would be $1500. With anesthesia $2500. Decided to get a second opinion and quote total was $960. Once office found out I was going to different Dr. for extractions for the $960 they refused to send my records to them and told me I had to wait until Dr. got back in town for me to obtain my own records. I was in terrible pain and didn't want to pay another $150 for more X-rays that were already taken in April / October. Office staff could have contacted Dr. Johnson , but refused !. I contacted Dr. Johnson's office several times via phone with no call back regarding picking up my records. Dr. Johnson has an office in Powell , Tn too . That office is on Emory Rd . In addition , I contacted both offices of Dr. Johnson to speak to office manager about my situation. When I called the Powell office the staff told me office manager was in Oak Ridge office. When I called Oak Ridge office they told me she was at Powell office. Office Staff found my situation obviously to be amusing ! They don't tell the truth. Above all their not empathetic and charge outrageous amounts of money for their services. None of which I will ever pay for again. When I picked up my records before leaving their office I reviewed contents in envelope and of course not all X-ray pics were included. Office staff said that's all the records " I was allowed to give ". If their your records demand them , don't allow office staff to dictate what can or can't be given . Unbelievable experience !

I got 2 fillings done a few years ago and to this day I still cannot eat certain foods due to pain. I was told it was a common occurrence, yet after I got a second opinion they asked me if I had a root canal!!! The doctor at Aspen dug out almost my entire tooth. All around their care is sloppy and their staff turn over is horrible. Over the years I have gone there's only been 3-4 employees who have stayed.
