As soon as you get to the door, someone is there to scan your ID. I prefer this method. Anyways, this place seems to have everything. $2.50 shots, $5 drinks, tacos, elote en vaso, burgers, pizza, fries, cigars, etc. everything is fairly priced and there was plenty of seating. The servers were attentive and wonderful at their job because of the fact that they got everything out to us quickly with so many people in the establishment. The only reason why I'm giving this place 4/5 stars is because of the terrible smell. I know it's a bar, but this cigarette smell would surpass even the smelliest bar in Vegas 5X. I couldn't really breathe any clean air & it was the perfect place to acquire secondhand smoke. read more

All I have to say is I am lost for words !!! the sitting is perfect, the food is AMAZING! The service is phenomenal! I'd definitely recommend more of my friends to visit this gem! at my happiest when eating wings and listening to Avril Lavigne I can't do that anywhere else but at CIGAR BAR!!!! I'll definitely be coming back! and the prices are goooooddd read more

It used to be one of my favorite spots until I paid my $25 doller tab and checked my statements and was really charged $139.

In McAllen for the weekend, visited this place loved every minute here.. friendly staff they sell cigars and you can smoke and listen th o music read more

I showed up with 2 of my friends because I had heard good things about it. As soon as we walked in and made our way to a table, the guy behind the bar yelled at us to have our ID's ready when he came to our table. We're all 21. A friend had her ID recently pickpocketed while away in Argentina so she had a paper ID from the DMV. The guy came from behind the bar to wait on us (from John D's review and an air of arrogance, I assume the manager) called us "young motherfuckers" after approaching us with virile hostility. He asked my friend what she was doing in Argentina and gave me shit about asking what the house specialty was. When I asked him if he was drunk, because he had to have been SOME sort of fucked up to treat anyone with that kind of attitude, he replied "I'm just tired." It was 4pm. Long night ahead of you, buddy. I wasn't quite ready to order, so I got another serving of attitude instead and decided to just leave because I had never been treated that way. On the way out some old creepy dudes slurred some drunk insult to my friend and I walked out with my middle finger held high. Seedy employees will attract a seedy crowd. I hear it's cheap, but I didn't even get a chance to look at the menu because I was being harassed by a sorry bitter middle-aged waiter/bartender/manager. He looked as cheap as I assume the drinks are. Your money is good somewhere else. I wouldn't waste it here supporting a low-life. read more

I'm not a smoker but we find ourselves here a lot. Great drinks great specials great lil menu great lil staff.

Bar. Yes, this is a bar, plain and simple. Bring your own food. All in all, awesome place. Good, cheap beer. Cigars you can smoke right then and there. Helpful and friendly staff. Yet, there was something sad about this place. The women were not beautiful; the men looked tired. The TV played cable movies at too high of a volume. I guess this place could change depending on the crowd. Come with friends. :) read more

cool place but double charged me and now I'm having a hell of a time getting any response about my refund. call, no answer. leave vm, no response. Message on fb, not even read. so now negative reviews going everywhere until this gets resolved. read more

Been twice now both horrible experiences, the people who work there and or own it are incredibly rude. Both times friends got me to go, if it wasn't for deloreans and eddy's being next door idk what I would've done. read more

so this customer comes in with a previous employee of cigar bar.. named Claire.. this girl has major mental issues that's why she was fired.... anyways.. its 3 of then that come in and order.. by the way I dont even take care of them it was someone else who was serving them... claire and her new boyfriend take off and leave this guy sitting there not knowing wtf is goin on . He cant leave cause the tab isnt paid for. Well they come back like 15mins later stating they went to go buy cigarettes. But like 2 mins back they try to buy cigarettes there.. I guess she needed to go "powder" her nose. Well the waitress cuts them off because she doesn't feel comfortable serving then anymore... and as coworkers we respect each other on that. This albert guy and claire start cussing at this poor waitress just for doin her job .. I told them not to ever come back that they are no longer welcomed.. so I guess this is a way of getting back at us.. we have so many camera in this establishment.. so for this guy to say I was making out with someone the whole time is just soooooooo funny!!!! read more

McAllen's Cigar Bar - a tweet message from a customer - Tobacco Shops Near Me - McAllen, Texas

One of my favorite places to get a drink and some delicious wings !! The wings are the best & they have a Very big beer selection . All bartenders are friendly and have good customer service! read more

ZERO STARS! Extremely rude female bartender, who kicked people out just because she felt like it. Now seeing the reviews I see that this is a pattern. Trust me, do not go to this place... even if you are causing no trouble, the staff will disrespect you. read more

I can't believe my friend Jose beat me to the punch on this one..lol CIGAR BAR IS THE BOMB!! They are known for their fabulous drink specials: any beer, domestic or import, is $2, shots are either $3, $4, or $5 and martini's are only $6!! It's a great way to meet someone without putting a big hole in your wallet. Oh and of course a large selection of cigars!! This is definetely my go-to-bar after a long work week.. :) read more

Awesome beer selection. Staff seems to be hit or miss with service. Had one bartender who was on the ball at replacing my empty beer. Most of the staff seemed unhappy to be working and stood around talking to each other. Good crowd on a Thursday night. Not much of a cigar selection for a place calling themself a cigar bar. Really can't beat a $2 beer all day price though. read more

This place is horrible.. not only are the bartenders novices but the manager has no control over the bar. They let drunk customers take over the bar and yell obscenities towards other customers. Manager Val has no care until his staff is questioned, that is until he decides to attack the customer. read more

Cheap drinks EVERYDAY! Enough said. Lots of variety and great prices.

This spot has all beers for $2! Import or Domestic draft or bottle. Get out there ASAP!

I've been here for drinks about 3 times. You can get cheap drinks here, great for pre gaming. The bartender who helped me the 3 times i went was great. He checks on you, clears the table of empty glasses, he's fast, etc etc. The smoke can be overwhelming at times, but it's a CIGAR bar. So if you don't like being around smoke, don't come here. You will leave smelling like smoke. There's some kind of charge or minimum when you use card, so I guess take cash when you go. Oh, and the music is good, they play a mix of pretty much everything(but you can't dance here) read more

Bad place bad service bad attitude. I took my friends from out of town here wanted to show them the spots. So as we get there i was let in with no problem 5 mins later as i decide what to drink security comes up said he has to cut my off cause my eyes are too low, i laughed cause i get this alot. So i showed them my i.d and i could tell he noticed my eyes are really naturally. Still said "need to leave manager orders". I asked my i speak to manager still he said "no you can not". With no drama or no show i left respectfully but still disappointed and let down. How can you misjudge someone after proof. I dont recommend this place read other reviews that this place they have a bad attitude and bad service read more

I went for the first time last night with a great friend. I had a lot of fun. The music is great. Its a great place to hang out with your friends. read more

I love you cigar bar. youre cheap and you dont try to disillusion anybody. youre not class. youre down to earth and a little rough around the edges. my only wish is that the jukebox wasnt so loud--its hard to have a conversation with the person sitting right next to you. read more

Place has totally changed, for the better! Excellent drink prices have stayed the same! Place is bigger & doesn't reek of cigarette. Food is now served & is actually pretty tasty. Jukebox has a great selection of music. Yummy shot selection. One of my favorite hangouts! read more

After ordering a beer I was faced with arbitrary minimum on my card without any heads up from bartender. Management told me to go to ATM or just leave because he didn't want to put up with s#!#!. read more

The only thing this bar has going for it is the cheap alcohol. The so called bartender (some short blonde) would not stop texting, never acknowledging me or any of the people around me. When I tried to get her attention she walked away. SERIOUSLY??? The place is filthy, when i finally got a shot she overdid the chamoyada plus! the shot glass was dirty it had lipstick stain on it. I didn't even say anything cause its not like anyone would even give a ship. I'd rather pay more and get better service. Here you pay for what you get, a load of crap. The place is in dire need of new management. read more

Today was my first time at this bar and it was A-Ok. Go for the drinks stay for the eye candy. This place needs a couple of pool tables. The service could be a little better, I ordered a jack and Coke and expected it to be done right away, not 5minutes later. Also the prices don't make any sense. A regular jack and Coke is the same price as a double jack and Coke. The bar tender seemed to be a little behind on the orders, I guess that just means it's busy and there's only one bar tender. Overall good place. Keep up the good work! read more

These scam artists charged us for a drink we didn't order, then threatened to call security when we disputed it. Come here for awful service and people who will rip you off. read more

Beware here, bartenders are not only mathematically challenged and double up your tab then somehow find the self righteousness to try and explain it with a shitty attitude that oughta get them knocked the F Out. Manager VAL gets involved and makes it worse and blindly defends the p.o.s bartender who can't add by intervals of 2.. please cigar bar require a simple 5th grade level math test before hiring dumb@$$ bartenders... horrible service and horrible attitudes from both uneducated bartender and illiterate manager val. But what do you expect at a place like this... as a frequent visitor ( 2 to 3 times weekly) I'm happy to say with a smile on my face fuck this place and will not ever return or pump another cent to this crappy place. read more

This place is the best place to go when you just want to hang out and chill with your friends, drink any beer you want for $2 and have a good time. They have a great selection which will definitely get your palette up. It used to be super packed with a crowded bar area, but due to DeLoreans opening up there is now a possibility of finding a place to sit. Looking for a great escape on those thirsty Thursday's or any day out if the week, you are sure to have a good time here. read more

way better pricing than downtown! kinda small but it doesnt matter when i have a table

Someone really needs to inspect McAllen cigar bar. Horrible service .. My wings were hard and order wasn't correct. Manager and waiter were super rude. Manager said no when I asked if he could correct my order. Said that I was lying and ordered and different sauce. He even refused to change them out for fresh ones . Said he was making pennies on them so he couldn't. Then when I asked to be charged for what I ate only which were the fries.. He said no. Owners need to really step up! read more

Rude manager will not serve you if he assumes you are intoxicated. He refuses to serve you because you were there earlier and had 2 drinks (beer) then I left and came back a couple of hours later because friends wanted to go there for the last hour and he refused to serve me and have no idea why because one of his bartenders served me a beer with no problem that I turned and gave to one of my friends. Really, intoxicated, what about all the customers that have been sitting there for more than a couple of hours. I have seen people fall out their chairs there and they do not get kicked out. Whoever owns this bar, seriously you lose customers because your staff can't manage. As a manager, I have always provided the best customer service. WTF! I have been going there for 6 years and have never caused a scene or done anything wrong for him to have acted in that way. This place is full of shit!!! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I've seen in a very long, long time. I sat there for twenty minutes, watching, as five bartenders went back and forth, with no sense of urgency. After about ten minutes, I asked the lady next to me if this was typical. She told me it used to no be this way. She was waiting for a fresh drink herself. at least six people on either side of me were served. Obviously, if you want service from this crowd, you have to grab them by the throat. Maybe a nice place, but caveat emptor! read more

So me and 4 friends, went to this place tonight as sober as it gets. One round is ordered. We sat there just hanging mellow, and taking in the vibes. One of the my friends decides to get a 2nd round, and pays for it. He comes back, and as he is about sit down, 2 security guards take the beers away, throws them in the trash and say we have been cut off. WOW. You might be thinking, what did we do? I myself was thinking that. Keep in mind. Totally sober, and none of my party was acting like a clown. So we walk out as the whole bar is staring at us. Once we are outside, with my hands somewhat up, in such a manner to show the security guards I mean no threat, I politely ask, "please, I mean no disrespect, I just want to know what we did wrong," he said repeatedly "Your cut off, Your cut off, Your cut off!" So bizarre, let me tell you, Im not a perfect person, and have made many mistakes, and have acted a fool in the past. This was not one of those times! My whole party was extremely disrespected, and the worse part about it, was absolutely NO explanation was given. My only conclusion is that they did not like a large party of guys, because as we walked in, they were in the process of kicking out a large group of guys as well. In a nut shell. I do NOT recommend going to this establishment. The security there is very hostile, and to be quite honest, the clientele looks about as shady as a bar in Tattooine (Star Wars,) your clothes will come out smelling like an ash tray, and overall, the staff is about as friendly as uncle scrooge. To be honest, my friends and I were standing outside in total disbelief to what happened! Green Day said it best "Nice Guys Finish Last." read more
