It will be difficult to express all that I wish to express about Lyle Mazin in this short "review." Lyle is top notch, the best humanly possible (and he remains humble), and not only that, Lyle is generous. Mazin's generosity is not only found in the price of his service, which is always on the low end. Mazin's generosity is truly found in the effort he pours into your case. His petitions are written with precision, piercing the prosecutions attack--in the courtroom, he's a Lion. His confidence dominates the courtroom and the timing and zeal of his argumentation cuts deep, appealing to logic and the emotion of the audience. I saw him in action twice, he really likes to fight--he enjoys it--it reminds me of an older brother or a best friend who defends the interests of his partner more than he would his own. His motivation is not, I repeat, not making money. His motivation is purpose, he understands the value of the reward found at the end of a job well done, in helping a fellow human. He actually cares about people, he loves people and values the idea of grace, as if he believes that a better outcome for his client will actually benefit the world by helping a valuable life get back on course. I think he has a natural (or God given) love for those he fights for. He helped me early terminate a 2 year probation at 7 months. Sure, this might not be possible in every case, but what he did do was he found the reason, and developed the argumentation that enabled the truly best outcome possible. He really does break new ground when finding reasons to defend you, almost as if having some sort of supernatural faith--he sees what others don't see, he believes when others don't. If an expert witness is needed, he's on it (has very good connections too, people want to help Lyle fight his fight cause they see the sincerity of his purpose and his sacrifice). In my case the prosecution had it in for me, they treated me severely--they wanted me to get the full 2 years (I don't think the prosecution knows the Bible verse that says "as you judge you shall be judged"). They're view of the situation was so blinded and one sided (against me) that I wondered if they were employed by the devil himself, bent on the destruction of my life and at the same time saying that it was in my best interest and the world's best interest--a good picture of the anti-Christ. The prosecution's view of justice is quite warped, but I can't side track on that subject. My case should have been dropped to begin with, but a previous lawyer who only cared about his payment and finishing the case quickly, disregarded my needs and put his interests above mine. That other lawyer acted like he worked for the prosecution--he seemed to be in more agreement with the prosecution than with me. Felt like feeding his pride and feeling important was his main agenda. That other person would blow me off, not answer emails, treated me like my input was worthless. Lyle will listen to any of your suggestions and will incorporate any good ideas you may have, and will also leave out any of your suggestions if he feels they are not the best strategy. He'll also put you in your place when needed, no hard feelings whatsoever, he'll even guide you psychologically and emotionally and give you courage for the journey when necessary. Lyle also successfully sealed my case which the prosecution also fought against, but Lyle, again, appealed to logic and reason and grace, which the judge did not deny--it was a gray area as to whether my case was sealable, but he did his best, and he did it with skill and wisdom. For the non-lawyer, some ideas and arguments that are logical, when viewed in the perspective of the judicial system, can actually be counter productive. Lyle understands the psychology of judges and of the prosecution, the guy is smart, very smart--what they call "a natural". My other lawyer Acted like he was superior to I don't know what, big problem. Praise God for being in control of my situation, reminding me of Romans 8:1. If you need a personal injury lawyer, don't call Mazin, he won't do it although he could, call Clint D. Cagle, at 1st he doesn't come off as a fighter, but he is, I've seen it--super smart dude to, another rising star. By the way, Lyle has plaques and awards and magazine recognitions all over his office--a stack full of them--and the best part, he doesn't act like he's a big shot because of it. Lyle Mazin handled my case with great professionalism and expertise. He is an extremely knowledgeable and confident lawyer, and he has a great reputation in the Orlando area. For my case, he helped set in motion the collection of close to 50 affidavits, which helped me receive a release on bond after initially being denied release by the prosecution. He researched and found a doctor in the state who could evaluate me and help show the prosecution my innocence. Whenever I had a question, he was always able and willing to answer it. He detailed the options I had with the case very effectively.
