It was kind of like a salad with chunks of eggplant, tomato, pomegranate, and a tangy dressing, rather than the hummus-like puree I'm used to. For our main course, we got the mixed kebab and a whole grilled fish. I loved the chicken kebab, but the lamb and ground beef were a little tough and chewy. The fish was out of this world. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and it was crispy on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. Overall, I was very impressed with the seasoning on everything. Even the items I didn't love were still OK, not awful. Service was excellent and reasonably fast. I will definitely be back, and it's fancy enough that I would bring visitors here when they get tired of fries and carbonnade.

I have to admit that I was nicely surprised by the result, even though I'm not a real connoisseur of Lebanese food. The "assiette libanaise" offers a taste of different Lebanese delicacies and is quite good. Their "durums" are of course different than the ones that you can find in the regular durum snacks, very thin and tasty. However, one might say that it lacks a little bit of consistency. That would be the more negative note for me, but that's maybe how it is supposed to be. However, it did leave me a bit hungry for more, like it was missing a little kick to convince me it is a restaurant worth the detour. Even though, I liked it and I would definitely go back if craving Lebanese food (even if I heard that they're not really Lebanese, but Syrian), there is still something missing for me to give it a 4 star.
