I was given a receipt and continued shopping. Once back, she welcomed me back with a 'ah Yvonne, we have your watch ready for you.' I had a look around the store and they have a huge selection of silver and gold jewelly, lots of items half price. We chatted a bit while the watchmaker gave my watch a quick polish. I will definitely come back here for my jewellery needs, which however aren't very many.

It is a breath of fresh air then to walk into Djinn and be walked around the shop by the owner (and buyer and designer) and to be pretty much spoon fed the info you need to make the right decision. The shop offers a selection of pieces designed and made by Simon (the owner) which are spectacular - with the exception of the jesus cuff-links which he freely admits are meant to be kitch and nasty... and believe me, they are! Simon also collects pieces from India where he goes once a year, they are all old and tarnished and have a bit of history behind them, he called them tribal pieces, very cool. In short, I like this place a lot, it's lovely to have an opinion on such things!
