Just left the flashing around the chimney all torn up and not fixed back. They refuse to accept responsibility for poor work. Be careful because they told me that they would fix the flashing at their expense because I told them I was not paying until the job was done right. They hired some other guy from a company called Flue Tech to fix the flashing. I then paid them Sterling Roofing Company. Guess what? The owner Richard Sterling then sends me a bill for fixing the damaged flashing that his crew did. This guy is really dishonest. If your hiring them because you think you are getting a professional company it is not. Unsupervised guys swearing constantly and no safety harnesses on either. I filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs and had to go to the trouble of seeking advice from an attorney. Don't get caught up with this company like I did. Daniel Sampson

while the actual roof work done fairly well, the process leading to the installation was painful…read more quotes mean little- ours climbed by almost 30% in the 6 months we waited for the work to be completed. we had a great winter to do roofing- multiple roofs were completed during the winter in our neighbourhood but we had to wait for perfect weather apparently. Meanwhile the costs climbed and in the end we were presented with a bill almost $1200 higher than expected (@25%). so my advice- good work, but slow. With quotes, make them lock down the amount to avoid sudden drastic increases.

I was quoted…read morefor my roof and I paid the 50% down and told they will do my roof beginning to middle of October and when they received my final deposit transfer, I was scheduled to late November. Also, I was told that the tarping of my bad roof would be done immediately after they received my full deposit. When I called the representative, he was rude and threatened to refund my deposit as I dared to question the ETA. They were supposed to tarp my bad roof up as soon as I paid the deposit, but they didn't do it until I reminded them 2 weeks after my full deposit was received. They only used 3 tarps ( 20 ea. max) and came back with an huge increase in our agreed roofing price which was equated to over 50% more than the original. Also tried to charge me over $ 800 to do this patch tarping. Trying to justify it with wrong measurement and that it is double roofed???? This is bad business practice. I asked them if this quote was accurate in the beginning and representative assured me it was and when asked if they coming out to measure the roof he said they didn't need to as this was all he needed and correct. When confronted he was rude and then later thought about it and offered me 50% off the tarping job. I could have got a better and faster roof replaced if I knew this up front. Just a company and service I will never use again! Worst experience ever!

He will take your money, for sure. He will ask for more money or tell you that if you don't he won't come back. If he shows up at all it is for anywhere from 3 hours to literally 15 minutes. Not a bit of a lie. He will tell you it is hard to get workers or that you live so far away, even though he has been to your house and knows exactly where you live.
