In addition, she is patient, compassionate and takes her time attending to each and every one of her patients. She doesn't keep you waiting and she answers every question thoroughly. Writing this on behalf of my Mom, who may not even know what YELP is but she basically had a root canal. A tooth got infected through a misdiagnosis and had to be removed. My mom had to end up eating the $700 plus god knows what on the specialist that ended up removing the tooth. The crummy thing is that my Mom kept calling and leaving messages but they were never returned... sketchy... She doesn't drive and at this point, so actually showing up means a cold bus trip in an Iowa winter. She cut her losses. I'm sure the dentist is good, I even went to her myself years ago when I lived in town (I loved how it was close to downtown), but... just get the work guaranteed.

I heard pregnancy could affect your gum and teeth health, so I wanted to be seen. The front desk workers were very kind and helpful, but that is where the good things ended. They convinced me to get x-rays done even though I was pregnant and informed them multiple times I was pregnant. It was absolutely not necessary and should have been avoided after speaking with my doctor. The aid who took my x-rays and did my background paperwork and such also behaved as though she had no idea what she was doing in general. The hygienist was so rough with my gums, and I don't have sensitive gums. I involuntarily flinched multiple times during her exam because the pain was so great. After my exam, the hygienist informs me that I have gingivitis and bone loss from poor oral care. (I floss twice a day and brush twice a day with an electric toothbrush). This obviously didn't sound right to me, and the sections of degradation they were trying to point out on pictures was not obvious to me. After minimal explanation of why they were recommending the treatments they had decided on, I was ushered out of my exam chair without given time to ask questions and into the financial office to receive my quote. I was quoted over $1k without even really understanding what I was paying for. I absolutely did not sign anything and left that business with no intention of going back. I just went to an absolutely amazing dentist in Cedar Rapids. This is four months after my original visit at Aspen. I was told by this dentist that my teeth and gums were totally healthy. No concerns other than getting some sealant on my molars eventually. This is a scam masquerading as a dentist office. I am flabbergasted.

Dr. Foreman is so nice and even did my first teeth cleaning! During covid, Melrose Dental handled everything really well. The safety of their clients was obvious as I felt very safe. I showed up, checked in, and didn't even sit down because I went right in to the exam room. The dentist came over within 5 minutes, and did the actual cleaning himself! He noticed things that other dentists never mentioned, and everyone was very friendly. Definitely recommended.
