Had large carport installed. Second one with this company. Local vendor very nice. Unfortunately MaxSteel in Murfreesboro,TN (corporate) is horrible. FIRST, install crew was suppose to be here Friday! NO CALL NO SHOW! They show up Saturday at 7 AM unannounced, said sorry we got hot yesterday!?! Install crew didn't do as I asked. Blew huge hole in asphalt. They left anchor plates sticking up every which way to cut your foot or trip over. Crew threw extra screws in angle supports( so they can fall out later and pop a tire I guess). Spoke to Jeff, Cstmr Svc Mgr. VERY VERY RUDE! Even when confronted with pictures and manufacturer specs. They wouldn't send anybody out to fix. DO NOT USE THEM! read more

After a really bad experience with an online carport company, I turned to a local dealer for MaxSteel. The transaction was flawless and they communicated all status changes, and even allowed me to make a change after the sale. I received a call a week before the delivery date to inform me when to expect them. They made a followup call the day before and installers called me 30 minutes before arrival. The installers were extremely professional and got right to work. In about 90 minutes, I had a sturdy carport, and they even policed my yard for any left over materials. Bought a metal carport from Jackson Medal and Roofing in Forsyth, Ga. These folks were sent to install the building. It was a mess, tried to get someone to help fix the problem and was told that it was my problem not theirs because of the contract that was signed by me. Buyer beware, read any and all contracts with these people very carefully. I would recommend that you avoid doing business with them at all cost!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Showed up late both days and left on second day for several hours. Many errors in workmanship. Siding cut where it shouldn't be, cut too short, cut too long and bucked up, they fixed it after we pointed that out, many places where you can see daylight, not cut straight, walked all over siding pieces, cut bent roof panels that they tried to hide, but was caught and they said the ridge top would cover it, we rejected that, siding does not meet up on one side to trim, water is getting between the insulation and metal getting trapped to mold where it cannot escape, but was told it is waterproof, could not explain to personnel it being waterproof is not the problem trapped water with no way to dry out is. It is their policy for you to wait for repairs from a should be new well put together building. How is that our fault someone damaged it and we the consumer have to pay for their negligence with out time and hard earned money. They cut one piece of siding that was already done, so they just patched the hole with a cut out piece. Around the door frame is all bucked out where it is poorly cut. Reported all this to personnel, but was only given excuses and that someone would be out in two to three weeks. of course it is going to be three weeks. This building is useless to us because of the rain and pollen that is getting in it that I cannot seal it like I planned much less store something in it. They have not been helpful or try to make this better. We do not feel sure that this will be fixed, because they will not send someone out to go over what needs to be done, but are just going by pictures we sent. Even if this gets repaired it should be a reduction in price for the time and strain this has caused us. We paid the deposit on time, paid half before delivery and now it is time for them to fix all the mistakes. I cannot recommend this company to anyone that wants quality work or service, especially if you have a custom order as we have. It does not appear they are up to a custom built job. I recommend the contracted help be properly trained and they find a better means of cutting the material so it doesn't look like an amateur did it. We understand mistakes, but there is no excuses for hiding the mistakes and making excuses that make no sense. Many may not know to look at every part of it, but once we started looking at it we realized we were not given the best workers with integrity to let us know that they made these many errors. I trusted them until I started seeing all the shortcuts. No one should have to deal with this when you have put your money and trust. We went with this company, because they were local and could drive right to the plant. We still owe the remaining sum that will be paid when this is done right if it ever is. A scheduler called and set up an appointment for Friday late day. No one showed or called. Had to call them to reset for another delivery date. They finally came on a Monday morning. Installers were not very professional nor accommodating with any changes . They even installed it crooked on my concrete pad. They would not even clean up their mess and told us " it's not our job" . Called to complain but no apologies given. This company lacks total communication between customer and installers. They lack total regard for the customer. A scheduler called and set up an appointment for a Thursday. They showed at 5:30 pm, when it was getting dark. They said (in broken English) they would unload and see how much they could get done. At 9 pm we attempted several times to tell them they needed to return the next day because we have a noise ordinance, they refused and continued working. They finished sometime after 11 p.m. When we were finally able to look at the carport, the legs were not straight, the wrong color ridge cap was installed, debris was left everywhere, anchors not all installed. When I called the company they said they would put me on the list for repair. They finally showed Feb. 3, but the crew boss said that the repairs needed were not on the "work order" and to call to reschedule. When I called I talked with Kayla who stated the crew was not back yet and she could not reschedule at this point. I called the next day and spoke to Leah, she claims the total repair was on the work order. I had a message on 2/9 that the crew would be there 2/19. On 2/17, Leah called and said they needed to reschedule to March 2 because of the storm. On March 1, Christian called for a reschedule. A new date was 3/5. The crew showed up this morning at around 7:15. No repairs done, they did not bring the correct ridge cap, would not make any other repairs. Called and left another message with Leah to complain. This company lacks total communication between customer and installers. They lack total regard for the customer. I don't recommend this company for anything. Buyer beware! read more
