Kim at Carpet One, whom I originally spoke with was very friendly over the phone. That was - until I sent a text confirming the carpet layers appointment. It sounded like she wasn't aware that we had ordered the carpet from them. Communication problem. (4 of 5) See below for further details. 2) May 23rd: Josh drove from Madera with several different carpet samples. I thought he was pleasant at first then I received an email with all block letters - which sounded like he's shouting at me. (4 of 5) 3) Jun 12th: Carpet layers, Sergio & Carlos are from Fresno: They are absolute professionals. It took them exactly one hour from start to finish, including unloading their tools - through to completion of carpet installation and vacuuming. We were very impressed with their work. Sergio and Carlos are related - uncle and nephew respectively. Carlos mentioned that they're a family-run business, and has been in operation for over 26-years. (5 of 5) Overall: I was not informed that there would be three entities working on this one project. Perhaps if I had been given the contact information of the numerous people, I could have contacted them directly and not go through Kim at Carpet One. Their mode of operation seems confusing to me. Their own 5 star reputation says enough (just quickly browse through their reviews and see what I mean). We are so grateful for what they did for our family. This is the least we could do! I assure you whatever job you have in mind Anthony is not only overqualified but is better priced and will provide you more value. Also they are fully licensed (LTO) and insured which is important! Our property was difficult. Take a look at the pictures! When it was completed it looked like it had always been that way. Seriously, thank you guys. Our family has a cabin in the Sierras that thankfully survived the Creek Fire. However, within the last five years we have had three trees hit the property. Before meeting Anthony we used to wait until Southern Cal Edison (SCE) would tag the hazard trees with the yellow tags and remove them. Our logic was that if the power company deemed that the trees were hazardous and would remove them we would save money. Except we ultimately paid the price when one of those marked trees hit our cabin after we just replaced the roof and after the last one went through it. SCE could not remove the tree in time and sometimes dead trees can wait years to be removed since things are so backed up! We contacted the Forest Service in Prather. They inspected the property marking all the hazard trees blue. And, of course, the Forest Service is just as backed up as the power company (especially after everything the Sierras have been through). We had one month left before storms rolled in bringing snow and closing the road. We spent 3 weeks calling the top 10 tree service companies to come take a look at our huge job. We are located at Huntington Lake and even the reputable people in Shaver Lake, Auberry, Prather, Oakhurst and even Yosemite did not get back to us or seemed intimidated by the job! (Forget about Fresno companies complaining about the distance). Thank goodness we searched as far as Mariposa for help. We ended up doing a hail mary Google search and 310 Timber Services was THE top rated tree company. All it took was that first phone call and I could see why. We were so burnt out after the other 9 fell through that by the time we got to Anthony we were trying to talk him out of it. We told him "It has to be done before the end of October or would it have to wait a whole year... This is our budget... It's at least 15 trees... The whole lot needs to be cleaned up... There are already dozens of fallen trees on the ground killed by the bark beetle... We want wood chips spread throughout the property... What could not be turned into wood chips / mulch we would need trucks to haul away the logs... I saw you offer dump trailer services... Everything needs to be in compliance... There are trees by power lines in between two properties that need technical climbing with only a few feet of space to work with... etcetera." Anthony did not flinch. He had the resources, equipment, and connections. When he walked the property he had a plan, a vision, and he saw it to fruition. It was wild. Him and his team Kristen, Davey, Kevin and Hudson went above and beyond to execute everything to perfection. It was like being on a movie set trying to wrap up before a deadline. There were so many moving parts and variables to this whole job and yet I only had to tell them once of what we wanted done and they did it. They were fully present and engaged, sun up to sundown, day after day, until the job got done. From now on if we ever need any of the many services they provide we only need to make one phone call. If they were busy, we would gladly wait! We luckily did not have to use their 24 hour emergency service like others have. While our family was attempting to get a hold of other companies, it did cross our minds, "What if we needed a tree removed right away?!" Thankfully, our lot is cleaned up now. It brings us peace of mind knowing that this business exists! This was the long way of me saying that if you have a cabin, home, property, ranch, anything with a tree, a lot that needs fire abatement/defensible space, someone qualified who has a LTO license (licensed timber operators), or have an NRCS grant project (whether you are located in Mariposa or anywhere in Central California - even a difficult to get to property along the Sierra Nevada mountain range), Anthony with 310 Timber Services is your top tier best choice. If there were anyone better we would have found them!

He gave a very reasonable price, and stuck to the price even though the work came out a little bit more than we expected. Jerry also treats his employees well, and was very professional overall.
