If you're in desperate need to buy a gift for someone, and you have no idea what to get, then…read moreFellas Gifts is definitely the place to go. They have a fantastic range of giftware for many occasions such as 18ths, 21sts, hens parties, weddings, or a simple birthday or Christmas present. A particular gift I got for someone from here was a beautiful Ancient Egypt chess set, something which I had not seen in other stores. Other items available include sports memorabilia, posters, bobble heads, quirky and funny gadgets, glasses, and poker sets. There is always a novelty gift available for any person and for any occasion, and prices are suitable for any income. With some items being as low as $10 for a decent gift.

Some of the cool looking items in the glass display case include USB's in the form of small shotgun shapes, lightsabers, gold bars and even burgers. The cabinets are also filled with figures and prop replicas from popular Sci-Fi, Adventure and Action films. The little displays, of which there are around 9 scattered around the store, feature notepads in the form of mobile phones, mini shot glasses, boardgames, remote controlled cars, screwdrivers, wooden items, and anything else that you can imagine. In terms of staff, they are very friendly, and don't mind you just browsing. Pricing is generally reasonable however some times are a tad pricey. To summarise, Fellas Gifts is a great spot to pick up something for someone who is hard to buy for, as there are a lot of cool things to satisfy even those who are incredibly hard to buy for.

They have definitely done the best they could with the space, and the flow of patrons is quite easy now. Although this place can be very busy during big upcoming holidays (mother's day, Christmas etc.) staff never appear flustered. They're friendly but not unprofessional and accommodating but not slow with their service. The cards and giftware are the best part of this store although I've heard a few brides swear by their stationery options. Whenever I've needed to congratulate or commiserate someone, I always manage to find the perfect card here. There are some items for the men folk and certainly for newborn men folk, but this is more a girly giftware store. If you've a special lady who's hard to buy for, head here, you're sure to find a sparkly doodad or thingamabob to make her beam.

There is a large selection of paper and other bits and pieces you may need. There is also gifts available here for weddings, birthdays, baptisms, etc, along with a large selection of greeting cards, journals, diaries, jewellery boxes, wall clocks, personalised items (with names printed on them), the list goes on. And what's even better is this is the only Jeremy's store, so it's unique and not just another chain store! I love coming in here and seeing what's new, The only problem is it's a bit small and it can get annoying dodging around people if it's busy. So I'd suggest going there if it's a quiet time. The staff are helpful, but can get caught up with serving customers at the counter, so be patient :)

If you're planning a trip to France soon, you may wanna check out the range of books here dedicated to the culture and travel of France. Flourish also stock skincare range from Mor and others that are deliciously good on the skin. Too bad you can't eat them! At every visit I make, the shop is bustling with activity and foot traffic. I'm not surprised as you can really shop for your whole family here! A must visit if you haven't already.

A shop after my own heart. They stock Eiffel Tower shaped products here, a true winner in my books…read moreseeing that I absolutely love collecting Eiffel shaped products. Lending a whisical, dreamy and romantic ambience, this delightful giftstore has now become my favourite place to shop. I picked up a chocolate shaped teaspoon for my sister, to enjoy her daily delightful treats and a heady mix of jasmine and vanilla scented sachet to intoxicate my drawers. Cream bird cages and black framed Eiffel Towers lay outside the store for all to gaze and fall in love with. They are magnifique and will add much charm and character to any dull room. You'll find inspirational journals here, stunning jewellery holders, printed tea towels, linens, accessories, home decor and just about anything that would appeal to us women. The shop on Winston Avenue Melrose Park is open Monday to Saturday 9 - 5 and also provides a dry cleaning service. There are so many items in here and definitely not big shoulder bag territory, otherwise it'll be a very expensive visit. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of financial investment businesses such as this one make on their stock and when is it considered to be too much stock. A blend of folk art items to shabby chic, decorative outdoor wire love seats - which are going to be really hot stuff left in the sun!

While generally quite pricey with designer stationary items, you can easily grab a bargain if you know what you are looking for, hence my first piece of advice for shopping here - keep your eye open for $5 clearance tags. The pens at Typo are very nice and its worth looking at finding a nice pen while you are there because even though they are more expensive then what you probably could get from Kmart nearby, they certainly last longer and feel nicer to write with. They also have a great range of phone cases and other cool items here. They even had a wooden QWERTY keyboard for a desktop computer, which I found really cool. The store is quite small though, so it is important to keep your eye open for other shoppers. Make sure that you also check out their funny birthday cards too.

I like the copious amount of skulls in this store - I confess I have a weakness for them, and am pretty pleased to find them pretty much all the time here! I think they go too far sometimes with their un-useful items which are supposed to be 'clever' ... I can forsee many stupid gifts being thrown in the bin. Apart from this, if you're looking for a cute mouse pad, a cool mug, a quirky notebook or an awesome laptop bag, then this should be your first stop. Not as classy as Kikki K, but more grown up than Smiggle ;)

This is a store that will have you wanting to beautify your home with pretty candles and vases and trinkets of the like. I noticed when I was in there recently that they have those oil things with the sticks and the sticks soak up the oil and make your house smell terribly amazing. There are a million different scented candles to choose from along with candle holders like candelabras and lanterns and these other cute little metal spinney ones that cast a pretty glow over everything. It's a stunning, homely store which is great for gifts. Dusk has the mood lighting just right to get patrons in the mood to buy, its very clever.
