ABOUT ME: I am athletic & toned but with about 10-15 lbs of fat left to rid. I have a small roll on my lower abdomen. When squeezed together to pudge out, it is about 2 inches in fat (so small). No matter how much weight I lose, this is the section that remains. Hence the purchase of this coupon. 1st TREATMENT: I arrived at a bldg that housed several small businesses. Hot Mama Body Sculpting is literally one small room (with a patient bed, the machine, and a stool for the 'technician'). It took 10 minutes to fill out their liability waiver form upon arrival, followed by taking my stomach measurements in 2 areas (the largest circumference). The Ultrasound treatment took 20 minutes in length (machine timed). The staff was friendly, yet not very knowledgeable. All answers to my questions were very generic and "generalized." The machine itself has a high pitch buzzing noise that is constant but not irritating. My problem area was covered in the typical ultrasound gel, and the machine wand was a circle shaped metal, the size of your thumb & index finger making a circle. She slowly went in circle patterns around my stomach and the wand started to heat up (actually relaxing). The tech talked to me the entire time, though she is overweight and hand't even tried the treatment herself (supposedly). She stated (after asking) that it's really for people like me, where it's a small stubborn pocket of fat that wont go away. After treatment 1, we immediately took measurements. She mentioned the average per session is 1/4 inch. My new measurements showed a loss of 1.25 inches and she said this is really good! I followed the post-session instructions to the T (wish they'd have this on their website so I could have prepped better). Excited about my results! 2ND TREATMENT: 6 days later, as advised I received my second ultrasound. I started with measurements and she said I was back to square 1 (the inch & quarter lost wasn't really lost). We started again, same method, yet the vibration & pin type sensation during this session was stronger, but again very tolerable. The tech had a splint on her right arm with an ace bandage, professionally wrapped. I asked what happened and she said that her wrist got really soar from doing this all day. So my session was done with her left hand. It made me uncomfortable knowing she's borderline worker's comp from doing this. What upset me the most is during the 20 minute ultrasound portion, she continued to talk like last time, yet stopped the ultrasound treatment so she could demonstrate what she was talking about.....often looking like her other wrist was getting soar so she was taking breaks, though the machine and my paid time continued with me. To make things worse, I asked why my inch and 1/4 went back to nothing, and she said well, usually you get better results when you have a much larger area of fat. NOT true, and contradictory to what we talked about last week. Covering a larger area in no more than 20 minutes of ultrasound likely will get you no results than a small focused pocket of fat (common sense). If I didn't already thing this was becoming a scam with inexperienced and ignorant (limited knowelge) staff (by the way she tells me she's brand new and found the job on craigslist ---that they didn't require any experience; only someone who wanted to 'help people.') Clearly since her left wrist was hurting too, she focused on only one side of my stomach (closest to her), so much that it was burning and post-ultrasound, I had a circular red area that is starting to get small bumps on it. I'm confident this will go away, but it proves that I didn't even have an even treatment -covering both sides equally. I'm starting to believe these type of coupons are for company's who are start-up OR those who are not thriving due to their unprofessional environments. 3RD TREATMENT: I will be asking for a full refund due to a bad experience. For $150, I could have bought 1-on-1 trainer sessions, ate slightly better for 3 weeks and slimmed down more than this ridiculous machine. The owner makes $199/hour, while the tech likely gets paid $12/hour. I've heard this company doesn't even register under BBB ----so clearly another idiot who is greedy by false marketing and a shitty machine that is probably dumped from an ancient spa. DO NOT BUY THIS GROUPON OR ANY DEALS FROM THEIR SITE. I TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE THIS REVIEW SINCE i COULDN'T FIND ANY AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE OR ON THE INTERNET NOW.

I did the 3 sessions of sculpting on my belly button area only and followed the directions to the T. Plus I'm not overweight so I was the ideal candidate ---healthy, drink lots of water, with a small problem area, etc. The girl who did the ultrasound was right off craigslist, and by my third/last apt, she had a brace on her wrist because she injured it from making circular motions all day. I felt bad and uncomfortable knowing the employees are getting injured doing this. On top of that, my 3rd session was a joke. Because her wrist hurt so bad, she didn't do the ultrasound evenly. I had one big red burning sensation quarter size mark on my side that was closest to her. I would NEVER pay for this, nor would I go back even if I got 5 free sessions --because it doesn't work and it would be a waste of gas getting there. Groupon reimbursed me 30% for my time.
