The first day was my assessment appointment and it was done by Andrew whom I found to be understanding, considerate and knowledgeable. All of the following sessions were handled by Enoch who was also very knowledgeable in post operative therapy. Each class began with 15 minutes of warm up exercises led by Allie. I wasn't at all sure how a group class would work for me but it turned out to be pleasant and most importantly successful. The guidance and instruction given to ensure that I followed and did the exercises correctly without issue was very helpful. They are all amazing, and it's easy to get into right away to see one of them. Dr. Lawson (who I have seen the most) is incredibly knowledgeable. Anytime I come in with a problem Dr. Lawson is able to pinpoint exactly what is wrong and fix it. I would never trust another chiropractor. He doesn't just crack unnecessary joints, and he tells you exactly why he is doing what he is doing. On my last visit, I had asked if I could be squeezed in if possible as I was leaving the country for 10 days and my jaw had seized up completely. Last time this had happened was due to stress, and it had lasted a week. I'm unable to eat when this happens as I can hardly move my jaw. Dr. Lawson saw me within 2 hours of me calling. He did enough work on my jaw and gave me exercises so that my jaw was better within 5 hours and hasn't seized up since. I was also able to eat on my vacation and enjoy my time off :)

It turns out it was a good thing I did. In all honesty, my requirements for massage were that they were registered, and that the place was convenient. A friend passing by recommended this place, and I am so, so grateful that he did. It is very clinical, clean and professional - it looks good, and that is important. It looks healthful, but it was still a little relaxing. My back is apparently like a brick - while I didn't quite know that, I did know that I had a lot of tension. Quite a lot. I told Sarah (who is really nice and very good - excellent mix) to go hard, and she went hard: this was no relaxing girly massage (although I 'm sure you can get those too). Just to clarify: I specifically asked for her to go hard, and to ignore me if I squealed. My back is STILL sore, but in that delicious way where you can feel that it is looser and absent of knots. I'm going back in a week and I'm a little scared, but I'm looking forward to feeling completely light and loose again. I've gotten through layer 1... Anyways, I'm looking forward to trying out a number of their services! They offer chiropractic, acupuncture and naturopathic sessions, and I'm eager to see what I can do to make my body work for me...

Foozieh did a great job and gave me daily exercises to relieve the tension and also coordinated treatments with the massage therapist. However, the staff at the reception desk are extremely odd and disorganized since they don't send you an appointment reminder via email (or even write it on a slip of paper). On the one occasion, they had my appointment dates mixed up during the Christmas season.

The physio therapists (Siobhan, Lori, and Jennifer) have all helped me out! I'm impressed that they are up to date on new techniques - I've even had acupuncture as a treatment for my twisted ankle. They are all professional, and great at listening to address the specific issue. What I like the most is that they're great at focusing on improving the issue, but also suggesting preventative maintenance and/or strengthening exercises so that the injury will not happen again. Jennifer was especially helpful after my motor vehicle accident and assisted with all the paperwork to ensure I could focus on getting better. I also received massage therapy treatment at the same time. It was great to have the physio and massage therapists at one clinic who were both familiar with my situation. I currently see Michelle for massage therapy - she is punctual and always inquires how much pressure to apply. The admin staff are wonderful at accommodating my schedule when I call in for an appointment - thanks! THE Downtown Sport Clinic is excellent, as they really care about their patients. I like that these guys work as a team and consult each other regularly. Andrew has been checking with the Physios for a while to make sure things are on track and going how they should and referring me back as needed. The reception staff is also amazing. I have a challenging schedule and the girls never complain, they just cheerfully find a time that works and they get it done! It's also incredibly convenient being in the downtown core.

Dr Batinic ran our small, optimally sized group through an exercise regime in a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. I learned doable exercises that I can continue at home to keep my knees functioning with little or no pain for many years to come. Would highly recommend him and his team.

This isn't a deal breaker for me because she is much cheaper than others. But when I saw her, she pulled out an old textbook to show me the positions she would use on me, and the spine model--which honestly felt like she was just legitimizing herself--and had me do some small exercizes. She did a sort of spine massage, and a couple back stretches and that was it. She thinks it's pinched nerves, but I am pretty sure I pulled those muscles when running, so I'm not even sure about her assessment. She did a lot of talking and a lot less doing, and I'm not sure what she did was worth the $65. She seems like she's mostly retired but keeps the place open for the few that don't want to pay regular rates. Nice as she is, it just didn't feel professional or even super helpful. I think I'll go to a regularly priced place next.
