And if you work in the area this is one of the best place to grab a lunch. They have some great options of ready to eat meal: salads, sandwich, soup, chicken and rice, and a big selection of meal that you just have to warm in the microwave. And one thing that is rare in this area, the prices are actually great. For 8$ I get a lot of food, which is more than I can say from most of the restaurants in the area. Service is quick like you would find in a grocery store. And if you are taking food to go there are some plastic utensils that are available.

Metro seems to be double the price. The store's layout is horrible. Especially around the cash registers. The clients there are like oblivious zombies with zero spatial awareness. The staff is generally pleasant; however, my neighbour told me of one incident where a snaggle-toothed cashier treated her horribly. She flung her groceries without any care after scanning. She confronted her about this, and she rudely responded. I only shop there when it's necessary.

I was pretty disappointed with my cashier with a head covering. She made a series of mistakes. She wouldn't put in my membership number. First strike. I should have asked for a manager from the get go. The clerks have done it, and she was simply lazy. I asked her to separate my order into two receipts. Instead, she separated it into three. Wouldn't be a problem, except I needed the receipts for reimbursement and she just made my job harder when she could have simply paid attention. When I asked her to re-bill the purchase, she refused and she just wanted me to drop off the items she forgot to scan. I understand customers can be difficult, but there's also scenarios where a person is simply so lazy that they can't make an extra effort to do things right. Manager should take now and I spent over $100 and could be a regular customer but not with this kind of poor service.

When I went to find stock clerks, not only did they not seem to understand me, they also didn't seem to know what the items were. I understand that this place is a small neighbourhood grocery store, and as such, they might not be as experienced in the business as they should be. However, after shopping there only twice, I was left with a very bad impression. Go at your own risk.

The manager who came to process the problem was aggressive and disbelieving of my complaint and told me that I only had 48 hours to return the produce. I offered that he should open up any of the untouched apples I was returning - I knew they were all bad. He declined and eventually gave me a refund. An altogether unpleasant experience.
