I easily got from the Airport to my hotel downtown for $2.50, as compared to a $45.00 cab ride. It was almost just as fast as it was smart to save that money and take the train. It was literally a non-issue ride and I was there in about 30 minutes. Another day we took the train over to Widmer Brewing Company. It was easy to find a schedule, this station and get over there. Last time we also took a cab, so the train was fun and we had a great day.

I happened to stop by Nuvrei next door and decided to check this out afterwards. The gentleman at the front counter was very upbeat, welcoming, and said that all the media available were free. I was amazed at the variety and breadth of information available for Portland and other regions in the state of Oregon. Maps, flyers, public transportation info, booklets, magazines, periodicals, and stickers - wow! It was great to pick up a variety of updated, current reference materials. Stuff that was souvenir quality, but packed with actual useful information. Highly recommended!

There isn't any parking lot but the orange bikes are stationed here. A few businesses like Nike have employee shuttle vans that pick up and drop off here. On one side of the station is the Tualatin Hills Nature Park. The trail entrance here is paved and many people enjoy walking this trail. On the other side is a drive way where the bus and vans stop.

There aren't usually many people waiting here for the bus or train, and I've always felt very safe here. Just a usage tip for the train: be sure when you get on the train at your first stop that this blue-line train says Hillsboro or Merlo & SW 158th in the appropriate train windows. If the sign says "Hillsboro," you will be able to get off at all the stops all the way to Hillsboro. If it says, "Merlo 158th" on the sign, that is where the run ends (which is near the west-side Tri_Met garage).

Carry on bags are placed in plastic bin in a half circle that spaces people out, then merge onto a conveyor belt. Airport workers are friendly and polite unlike many other international airports. I got to purchase good healthy food without having to wait in line at Cafe Yumm! Ate at the designated tables that were clean, organized and well labeled for disposal. Gift shops were well stocked and all the cashiers were friendly and competent.

Depending on your gate arrival, it can be a bit of a hike to get to baggage claim, which is also a little weird because you walk through where arrivals are. If you decide to do rideshare, do note that you'll have to go down below and underneath the street to get to the parking garage. Signage is posted depending on if you're using Lyft or Uber and which area you need to go to as it's staged around the landing. I do appreciate the fact that they have the lounge located in the D section. Thankfully, it wasn't too far from my gate, so it made it easy on the return trip to go to the lounge, relax for a bit, grab some food and cocktails, and get situated before the flight home. One of my favorite things about the airport is some of the local food places that are inside. In particular, Blue Star Donuts is always a priority stop for me.

The WES Commuter Train stops here on its way to Wilsonville in one direction and Beaverton Transit Center in the other direction with stops in Tigard and at the Hall/ Nimbus WES Station before reaching Beaverton. The WES Commuter Train only runs Monday through Friday and only during commute times. The trains are very comfortable with plush cushioned seats. There is a steward on board. This WES station always feels safe and appears clean. There are lots of dining and shopping establishments in the area.
