Oh, where to begin? I came here on a slow Sunday night, and thought I would have some barbecue to…read moreremind me of home. Big mistake. I can't comment on the burger selection, but after seeing several go to the few other customers, I probably should have had one of those.
I ordered the potato skins, brisket, and a vanilla shake. So after 20 minutes, my appetizer arrives, and looks suspiciously like onion rings. I mentioned that I ordered the potato skins, and my waitress nearly tried to get me to just take the onion rings instead. In fairness, the onion rings did look quite good. 10 minutes later and I had my skins. And they were pretty good. Spuds seem to be about the only thing that they can do well.
So while I'm eating my skins, my waitress again asks what kind of milkshake I ordered, and I confirmed it was vanilla. I should have stuck with water. Their idea of a shake is malted milk with some vanilla flavor. No ice cream, not frozen, barely even cold. But there was more to come.
My brisket arrived, and I couldn't see the brisket. Look at the picture and I think you will agree, that what I received was definitely not brisket. In fact, I'm pretty sure some of my friends from Texas are weeping right now. This stuff looked like pot roast sliced about 3/4" thick. It was falling apart, and had huge chunks of fat on the edges, like picture 2 shows. Very disappointing.
At least the fries were good.
