She answered all my questions, showed me around the complex and was even patient with me while I was having a little health issue and asked to be taken back to the leasing office. If I could leave a negative star rating I would. the new staff here have zero customer service…read moreskills and lack any kind of ambition to assist their current tenants and those in the process of leaving. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! You will be lied to during your lease process and then they will leave you responsible for charges you had been guaranteed you wouldn't have to pay. They state they have rules but not one is enforced. So if you like being treated like scum, smelling illegal substances through your walls, or ignoring safety hazards this is your place. PS. The office is a glorified day care where people just sit around and do nothing.

If you think you might be denied, don't apply here. They say you will get back your 50 holding…read morefee, but I've been waiting for almost 2 months and they have not sent it back yet. I have called, emailed and even emailed to Kittle, the property owner. Nothing. I have a Housing Choice Voucher and Gables accepts that program. But, just because you have a section 8 voucher does not mean you'll be accepted at this propety. They denied me for lack of income. My social security check wasn't enough even though I've lived at another Kittle property for 4 years and was never late once. The monthly rent would have been just about the same. But, bottom line is I've spent almost 100 dollars trying to live at Gables. I understand not giving back the application fee, but they told me they would send back the 50 dollars I gave them to hold the apartment. Proceed with caution. Get them to tell you upfront if they will accept your income. Save yourself a lot of grief and money possibly. If they say they can't do that, move on. They just want your money. I applied at this property twice. They told me I had to wait 30 days to re apply after my first application. So, when I re-applied, they already knew my income, rental history, etc. It's a racket. They are ripping off people who can least afford to lose money on nothing. I am now going to contact Channel 6 news or one of the news organizations. This is shameful.

My fiancé and I live here and just wanted to give praises to Bonnie, the property manager and St…read more Andrews as a whole. Our experience moving in was wonderful and seamless. She went above and beyond to make us feel happy, confident, and at ease with our decision to move here. We have felt at home and have experienced the best customer service we could ever ask for. We have been here since Dec. 13th 2015 and she is still just as helpful as she was when we were apartment hunting. She is prompt, professional, thoughtful, and really sets off positive energy in being the face of St. Andrews. We love it so much here that we also referred my best friends mother! She is extremely happy as well and feels the same way about Bonnie. It is employees/managers like Bonnie that really make a difference in your experience with apartment living and she deserves praises for how she affects this community and all she does for it. Outside of management the pros and cons are listed below.. Pros: Affordable safe apartment living Very community oriented atmosphere Game room with pool tables and much more Theatre room that plays movies Various community activities such as bingo and resident pizza night Very diverse group of renters: elderly, college students, new families starting out, single folks etc... but NO RIFF RAFF Small library with computer and printer free for use... you may have to wait for the computer, but residents are courteous and try to handle their business as quickly as possible to give it to the next person Vending machines Nice community room Open area in main lobby with seating and a fireplace You do not have to go outside in inclement weather to take the trash out. They have trash rooms at the end of the halls. They really put a lot into keeping the odor out of the hall. They take it out frequently. The only time a could smell it was around the holidays with everyone cooking which produces more trash. Even then it was very faint. Locked community after hours. Side doors are ALWAYS locked Cons: no washer and dryer hook ups. However, you can load your money card so no need for getting change! They work great and its so nice to get our laundry done at once instead of it being a whole day event :) No pool :( But they do have a tennis court and all the other amenities listed above! I have a teenager so he likes going to the public pool anyway to see his school friends so its no biggie to us. It can be a long hike to your apartment as the community is set up differently from your traditional apartment complex. It is one huge building with the main entrance and doors at the ends for access. It does not bother us as we are young, healthy, and prefer to use the stairs over the elevator to be more physical. However, if you are older or have any physical limitations let them know so that way they can get you into a 1st floor apartment with easier access or at least an apartment by the elevator. It is a good idea to purchase a portable cart (walmart) for when you have things to bring in that you cannot carry all the way in. They do have carts here for use, but they're not always available. Just an FYI You can not beat the price ANYWHERE in Greenwood for all that you get out of this community and my fiancé, son, and I love it here!

So far it has cost me $300 to ransom my car back from the tow company, on top of lost time and wages. BCA refuses to reimburse me for any of this. After the first time my car was stolen, I was assured by people at Buffalo Creek's office that I didn't do anything wrong, that it was completely fine for me to park there, and that they would talk to the tow company to make sure this didn't happen again. Well it turns out Buffalo Creek was lying through their teeth because now my car's been stolen a second time (on new years eve!) and they tell me there's nothing they can do. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Me and my boyfriend lived here for a little over a year and couldn't be happier…read morethat our lease ended. During that year we experienced leaks from upstairs 1-3 times a month. This left our ceilings brown and FALLING APART. This was brought to management attention and was ignored. This happened to the kitchen MULTIPLE times in the same spot, and in our bathroom. The bathroom had mold growing all around the tub. This was also brought to management attention and nothing was fixed. I had a personal experience with one of the office people. We were experiencing a leak and I ran to the office, this ended in me getting kicked out of the office and the MANAGER hitting my car and taking off from the parking lot. We have an open police report as we speak. This place used to be nice until management was switched over. Please save yourself some time and stress and look at any place but this one.
