    I went into the Coralville Iowa store yesterday to do an exchange. Keep in mind we are a state that…read morethe governor has lifted the mask mandate, and I was fully vaccinated two weeks ago. I had no problems in any other stores in the mall until I went and Torrid. They told me I needed a mask and I explain to them that the governor has lifted the mandate and I have been vaccinated. They refused to help me. Said I'd have to come back when I would wear a mask. I said well if that's the case let me just return these items while I'm here. They refused to serve me again. While I was standing there calling their customer service number another customer got within 2 feet of my face and started yelling at me calling me a f****** b****. She was screaming and turning red in the face. I felt very sure this woman was going to do harm to me. That's when I decided to start recording. Thankfully that made her back off a little bit. They assured her that they called security on ME for not wearing a mask. She was in just as much violation as me for not wearing the mask. She was in my face avoiding the 6 foot social distancing sign on the door and screaming.When I told them I felt threatened by her because she was in my face and twice my size, the employee responded to me that it's a plus size store. I was also told several times by one of the employees that they did not want my business anymore. I am a very loyal customer that shops in both of your stores in my town several times a month. Very upsetting the way I was treated yesterday. I did speak with customer service and I'm waiting on another callback from headquarters. I have a video I'd like to share of the treatment from the employees yesterday. I don't have their names because they told me they would not give it to me because I was recording. When a customer asks an employee for a name they should always be willing to give it or an ID number. Clearly she knew she was wrong. I respect people that choose to continue to wear a mask, I feel like the people that are choosing not to wear a mask but staying 6 feet away and not going out when they're ill should be respected too. It's sad to see all the retail going out of business right now and you have stores like yours that will not serve people that want to come in and spend money. Shame on you! I will be gathering up all of the clothing I thought within the return period that still have tags to return back to that store. I refuse to give my money to someone that does not respect my choice to not wear a mask as I respect the choices of the people that choose to wear a mask. Nor will I give my money to a company that does not help me when I tell them that I feel threatened by another customer. I'd love to share the video privately with Torrid corporate. However they did not even open the message I sent on Facebook and I don't have an email address that allows a video to be sent.
